ace3113 Verified Member Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Interesting note from BP chat: Chris (Toronto): More likely to be the Blue Jays' number 1 prospect by the end of the year Aaron Sanchez or Dan Norris? Ben Carsley: Sanchez. Norris is a mid-rotation starter for me.
Ziggyy108 Verified Member Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Sanchez blasted again. Shoulda got The Shark before the season!!!!!!
Caper Verified Member Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Taylor Cole spun another gem 7IP 3H 0ER 0BB 9K Could Cole go to AA in place of Boyd?
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Matt Boyd sent back down to Dunedin I wonder why he lost his control at the higher level. Hard to tell from just numbers if he just wasn't attacking the zone (scared of better hitters), which could cause higher BB rates and more hits as he falls behind, or if he just couldn't throw strikes for some other reason.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Waasn't sure where to ask this but does anyone have KLaw's updated prospect list?

theblujay Verified Member Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 Seeing Giolito and Shipley on that top 25 list hurts. And Syndergaard of course
ace3113 Verified Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Nice start for the Lizard. Do we know if he's still switch-hitting or if he's only hitting from the left side now? His righty swing is supposed to be not that great, but obviously he's young.
ace3113 Verified Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Seeing Giolito and Shipley on that top 25 list hurts. And Syndergaard of course Crawford too. I can't blame them on that one though. I underrated Crawford's bat big time.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 No idea. He's listed as a switch hitter but I guess Ang could find out in the next few days. Nice start for the Lizard. Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 What side of the plate was he hitting from when you saw him batting this afternoon? One of the Toronto coaches told me last year that possibly we only will see Bryan bat from the left side. also "-He play the 3B like a elite shortstop (He mentioned Jeter and I laughed in his face) -Quick hands -He will hit for pop thanks to his quick hands and body. -He will play in USA very soon."
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 What side of the plate was he hitting from when you saw him batting this afternoon? I could not watch him hit. I only saw the opening and I had to go (My wife hate baseball)
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 (He mentioned Jeter and I laughed in his face) You're the best Ang
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Sounds like you need a new wife. lol His younger brother is good at baseball but he's very slow. He's 17.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Before the end of the season, Ang will have "set up" King with one of his nieces. Book it.

BA says he has the potential to be an elite defender at third, like a Beltre. I compare him to Blalock for the lefty bat and good glove.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Your wifes younger brother? My wife brotha. LH hitter OF, 6'2" 170 Lb (Ronald Guzman type of kid) -Contact hitter (Zero swing-miss) -Great great plate discipline and not wide his strike zone (Thanks to me!) -Avg pop. Tools (From my point of view) Hit - 6/8 Pop - 5/8 Speed - 4/8 (Their great problem) D - 5/8 (Because of the speed) Arm - 4/8 The scouts are delighted when they see him in the batting practice, but when they look him at the defense they are .............disappointed.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 ITT: Ang gives us a scouting report of his brother in law Do any teams have interest in signing him? Jose Serra, from the Cubs (Starlin Castro, Wellington Castillo, Rafael Dolis, Arismendy Alcantara, Junior Lake, Felix Pie) He told me "I like the kid a lot, and he's your little brother but.......... he's too slow and we can't sign him as a 1B with just 17 years old; we (Cubs) don't signed 1B, LF or reliever of 17 years old"
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 25 pitchers first inning with a walk = Drabek-esque
