I did a little bit of research this morning for my upcoming picks. Ozhaino Albies was at the top of my wish list. I am thoroughly disappointed in you GP.

Looks like a glove first slap hitter. Jomar Reyes looks pretty interesting, though.

I'll take Willy Adames.

Can't believe we let North get Olivera... how could we be so stupid.

decent consolation prize for you. Concerning that he keeps striking out that much however

Damn, I got sniped on Adames. Gonna take 7 hours now to think about the very next person on my draft board.

You could just trade the pick to me

Yeah it's borderline. His organizations have been pretty aggressive with him. Went from the Dominican Summer league directly to the Midwest League, where he was the youngest position player. Now he's basically the youngest player in the Florida State League.

I think he's a better prospect at this point than, say, Clint Frazier, who used to be my man-crush (now it's Nomar Mazara...).

Gibbers has killed me this draft. All 3 of his guys were off the top part of my list.

Reyes and Adames were two of the three breakout prospects I picked in the Breaking Blue season preview. Big fan of both.

Can I ask if anyone actually had Sheffield on their list or could have I dealt the #6 pick

I had Sheffield, Gonsalves, Honeywell, Brett Phillips all pretty close at the top of my board. All beyond Reynaldo Lopez. And, they SHOULD have all been behind Olivera.

I don't think you made a bad pick.

Given how everyone is drafting, I have a good idea that he would have been taken. There seems to be a common source where all of these names exist, and he is defs on it.

at least he's a little less doughy than those guys were.

Plus far less egregious picking that type at 29 instead of where we picked the others.

Deck threw 91-93 with a straight fastball. The slider was supposed to be plus and the change was supposed to be a ~50. All of his scouting reports praised his command and mound presence as plus "tools", and said things like, "has shown the ability to get by without his best stuff", "all he does is win".

I've read that Harris' FB has movement and can touch 94/95 right now, and the body might still have a bit of projection. Also, it seems like his 3 offspeed pitches all have 50+ potential.

it was more the assumption that you should never take a high floor, lower ceiling pitcher in the first round based on the Deck McGuire pick. Harris fits that bill. As for fantasy I'm not sure what his ceiling is...not one I want but that's why I battle for middle of the pack every year.

That's what they said about Wacha, Gray, Odorizzi, etc.

I really don't think Harris is low ceiling. I don't think the current Toronto FO would take him if that was the case.
