The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Rendon Career .280/.358/.454, .351 wOBA, 119 RC+, 10.2 % BB, 16.5 % K, .175 ISO Actually you're right, that ISO is a bit light for a Torres projection. The rest is spot on tho. So that's going to be Torres career year? Also he won't be playing SS.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 So that's going to be Torres career year? Also he won't be playing SS. That's gonna be his career line, and he's going to carry 2B/3B/SS for many years and you're gonna be super butthurt about it.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Sorry buds doubt I move Lindor. Probably going to look at moving some pitching though. Have already had some inquiries and done some snooping around seeing what guys have.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 If he's going to be Rendon + 2B/3B/SS why would you move him + 2 more guys for an equal talent? To spite z3r0s, obviously.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 To spite z3r0s, obviously. Real question is, would you do little Guerrero straight up for Lindor?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 No. Love Lindor, but he'll never hit 30 HR again. Vlad has .400 wOBA potential.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Guys I would definitely trade Vlad for: Trout, Harper, Bryant, Arenado. Stanton and Judge in the probably pile.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Guys I would definitely trade Vlad for: Trout, Harper, Bryant, Arenado. Stanton and Judge in the probably pile. I don't have him...but I'd move Judge for him in a second. Just doesn't belong with those guys IMO. Not that his .230/.390/.550 second half is bad numbers...it's not the 200 wRC+ first half. He's more Mark McGwire than Pujols for me.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Bryants too steep. I'm out
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Guys I would definitely trade Vlad for: Trout, Harper, Bryant, Arenado. Stanton and Judge in the probably pile. Judge should be nowhere near Stanton in value imo. You should probably be willing to move Vlad for Giancarlo.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Pretty weird that he didn't even mention Betts. I'd move Vlad for Betts in a heartbeat.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 I don't see him as a dynasty asset on par with those other studs.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 I don't see him as a dynasty asset on par with those other studs. Altuve? Goldy?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Altuve? Goldy? Look, obviously I'm crazy and Boxy will accuse me of hyping Vlad to drum up trade value, so I don't want to go over every single franchise stud in baseball. That said, Goldy is 30 now, and while Altuve is amazing, I think his career years are behind him. You aren't trading for what those two players did the last 3 years, you're trading for what they'll do over the rest of their careers. I've been waiting for Altuve to collapse since his breakout and it still hasn't happened, so maybe I just have something against him personally.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 I don't see him as a dynasty asset on par with those other studs. Do you not value steals? 30/30 guys are pretty rare.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Do you not value steals? 30/30 guys are pretty rare. So rare that he's never been one!
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Vlad is fun to dream on. I'm sure Betts would be very nice to own, but I don't love watching him as a player. Dreaming on the next Carlos Delgado is more fun. Besides, it's not like I have that trade offer.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 So rare that he's never been one! Oooh getting technical. Cool. Well, you just undervalue whoever you please I suppose. The good thing is that you've overvalued Vlad to the point where you won't trade him because literally no one will pay the sticker price.

To say that his best years are behind him is odd. Also Goldy is not losing much production any time soon. Look at Joey Votto, god among men.
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 9, 2018 Author Posted February 9, 2018 TIL Mookie Betts isn’t fun to watch. He’s like... top 10 for me. Love everything about the person. Talent and style. I get physical symptoms when I think about how close I was to owning him in this league.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 Well probability would dictate that his best years are behind him Yea he's gotten impossibly good to the point where there is no further ceiling and little hope of sustaining this level for long. That's all I'm saying.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 I have no interest in trading him so I don't see the problem. Yeah but I never believe you when you say that because nearly 100% of the time you end up trading the player in question.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 So everyone good with this as a rough schedule going into spring; Feb 15 - Yahoo Opens Feb 25 - DDL Cut-down Mar 4 - DDL Waiver Draft Mar 29 - Opening Day Gives us a bit of a break between cut-down and draft to survey the available assets and 3+ weeks for the waiver draft
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 Do I have to call up Robert Stephenson? He's at the limit. Or does he have to pass that limit?
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 9, 2018 Author Posted February 9, 2018 What do the rules say bro
