Just before I lose track in my head, does anyone have time to send me Sammy's 2nd milb from our trade and also Guerrieri and my 1st waiver to Hurl for his 2nd milb/5th waiver please?

How many collapses on this scale have resulted in a return to relevancy? Freeing up a keeper spot is all the reason you need to cut bait on a 32-year old running a 50 wRC+ and about to leave Coors (probably).

There's a good chance CarGo might suck moving forward, not denying that. His season has been a disaster, yes. Though with his previous track record and for someone who is still only 32-years old, why would I drop him on the waiver wire and lose him for nothing? I'd still roll the dice on him as a OF3 or OF4 heading into next season in hope of a bounceback in 2018. If he's running with a 50 wRC+ again next season, then I fully agree that you can cut bait. I'm sure there are many teams that would still burn one of their last keeper spots on him.

Zimmerman is one, but Cargo is somehow 20% worse than Zim was at the nadir of his value. Even a bounce back at this point is probably to 100 wRC+ levels, which really only plays at Coors.

You can completely write CarGo off moving forward. I would stay away from him in fantasy baseball right now unless there was a good buy low opportunity available. All I'm saying is that even with his struggles this season, it would make little sense for a team who owns CarGo right now in a deep dynasty league to just drop him on waivers, based on his track record and age.

I guess it depends on circumstances for me. In DDL I'd hold until I could see where he signs in the offseason. In BORED I'd probably cut him to maximize my playoff roster.

I dropped him in BBDL... but I had traded for V-Mart... s***'s f***ed man.

Yeah, if he's mostly free, he could be worth taking a shot on, or holding and hoping. That career 95 wRC+ away from Coors is a major issue if he's leaving Coors though.

Man, JP Crawford 2-4 with another donger tonight. Before this, he was 275/383/575 with 10 homers and a 164 wRC+ in 196 PA since coming back from injury. He's an elite prospect again.

Yeah but I also now have 3 of the Top 5 prospects in ball, so I'm pretty happy with where things are headed. If I were a fringe contender with a garbage farm, I'd be worried.

Not saying you're in a bad place. Just that I don't think any team is going to go on an extended run of complete dominance. You looked unbeatable, then you weren't. SG won't look that way forever either.

He probably is, but I should have held out for slightly more.

 

Yeah, stupid BP. I cancelled my sub last year because I feel like their scouting has fallen off a cliff. Also because I couldn't, in all good conscience, support a Bret Sayre project, so I quit with the funding.

I was convinced that he is a league average bat after belivevng so much more...but now that he's up I think he's going to be Bellinger lite

Dexter Fowler has been on fire since coming off the disabled list, going 6-for-13 with three doubles, a triple and a homer in four games. Fowler is batting .251/.349/.479 with 15 HR and 42 RBI overall. Looking to add a SP or solid closer.
