Important note: Someone else needs to take charge of facilitating the draft this year. I'm swamped in June and I'll likely be AFK for large chunks of days.

It's not that much work now that MVP z3r0s controls the spreadsheet. The group of spreadsheet editors generally make a team effort of it anyway.

You just need to:

1) set the cutdown deadline and draft start date [important]

2) email everyone through Yahoo to inform them of the important dates [important]

3) make sure everyone cuts down at the deadline (follow up with specific owners if needed)

4) delete any picks that are surplus after the deadline

5) be fairly active during the draft in case people ask for the next person to be emailed, to message someone whose clock is near expiry, etc.

I added Stanek, but apparently owned by Kev, he's been dropped. Sorry.

I'll just call him up to avoid future confusion

Boxy, you're on Team Duvall, right? Dude is making a run for 40 HR this season. Now I won't say he'll cruise past it, but it could happen.

How many more than Trumbo, tho?

Please try to stay on topic here, which in this case is that Yonder Alonso is good now and you will be forced to admit it eventually.

Hitters I refuse to buy in on:

Alonso

Zimmerman

Mark Reynolds

LoMo

Hicks

Judge (at anything close to this level)

Marwin

I actually buy Smoak a little bit. Wouldn't mind picking up a dynasty share. The rest of them are all due to come crashing down to Earth.

I'm surprised you're so bearish on Alonso. He's always been a toolsy hitter, which is why he stuck around so long despite not really performing. He talked before the season about swinging harder and getting the ball in the air, which is exactly what he's done. He was a guy with big power who couldn't get to it in games because he had a slap hitter approach. Now he's a power hitter using the approach that a power hitter should use. I have a lot of guys playing above their career levels this year (Alonso, LoMo, Hernandez, Taylor, Vargas) and easily the one I buy into the most is Alonso.

Eh, I picked up a share in a shallow league. I buy improvement, but this level is nowhere near sustainable. I think you're looking a career year and then going forward maybe a 20 HR guy with an OPS under .800 until he starts declining. Better than the useless POS he was, but nowhere near a star.

Suarez?

Suarez?

Intentionally left him and Schebler off the list. I like them both, especially because that ballpark is such a joke. I think both are legit 30 HR candidates as long as they are starters in Cinci.

Oh, do Marwin Gonzalez and Eric Thames next.

Everything OK Greenwood? You've been really salty for months now.
