We weren't sure on the specifics of this. If he has to cut two players now, as opposed to just punting his last two waiver draft picks, we should just wait another week to make the trade official.

confirmed to the deal. The way I understand it, you can only hold 20 assets. Cut-down happens, I trade for 2 MLB players, any waiver picks beyond my 3rd disappear.

I don't see an obvious issue with handling it this way. The waiver draft is distinct from the cut-down, which is now over.
