Where you getting that from? Maybe NJH said that and I missed it, but as per our rules, our draft begins immediately after the conclusion of the real-life draft, which starts tomorrow and runs through Saturday.

The deadline is the end of the real draft. We haven't really had a hard deadline before, we just badger you *******s until we feel like we've done our due diligence, then we delete your picks. Starting today I will mark the picks which are due to be deleted with red font. If they aren't reconciled by the time the real draft wraps up, they will be deleted. Maybe sooner if NJH decides to swing an iron fist. Or we could just let z3r0s decide, since he's probably the one who's going to generate the actual draft order once the surplus picks are deleted.

credit to Boxy for generating the draft order, I just linked it to the team names. The draft actually fall at a bad time for me, I'm away for a week starting Friday, but I don't mind modifying the sheet Monday morning (day after the draft) if that makes sense to everyone. Could use that as the deadline (like 8:00 Monday morning).

 

I've got a pretty busy Sunday, so if anyone wants to do it prior to that, someone else will have to take up the task. I doubt we see too many early picks dissolved, so the draft can start Sunday night (or earlier) if people are chomping at the bit.

Please post your cutdowns somewhere public (message board, Yahoo thread, or ProBoards). That way someone can notice and process them. There are like 12 people who can process spreadsheet stuff these days so no need to email them to me and I probably won't notice quickly anyway.

 

You have to cut down to 12 picks+prospects at the deadline. If you don't, any surplus draft picks will disappear. Extra picks don't stick around after the cutdown to give you a chance to trade them, so get trading NOW (*cough* Gibbers...). Lots of s***** prospects are owned in this dum league so get cutting now too.

 

12 hour windows with no timeouts overnight, as per usual.

You can trade MiLB assets during the draft, as usual, but the trades have to be even on both sides in terms of # of minor league assets (unless one of the owners has less than 12 minor league assets for some reason.) Trading while you are on the clock is illegal unless it occurs at the very beginning of your clock (first 15 minutes).

 

Check the ProBoards rules if you are unsure about anything.
