Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 So... DDL: the only board league with all its original members?
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 So... DDL: the only board league with all its original members? Pressure to stay... mounting. (Seriously though I would never quit when my team is this bad. I would at least try to pass on something decent.)
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Pressure to stay... mounting. (Seriously though I would never quit when my team is this bad. I would at least try to pass on something decent.) You have so much to live for! Betts is going to be a monster for a long time.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 You have so much to live for! Betts is going to be a monster for a long time. It's been nice to see that through. My lack of patience with prospects has been very destructive to my team. I've let a lot of good ones slip through my fingers.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Just looking over the Google Doc briefly, we're going to have a record number of dissolved picks this draft. Maybe even half the draft or more.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Just looking over the Google Doc briefly, we're going to have a record number of dissolved picks this draft. Maybe even half the draft or more. People are becoming too attached to their s***** prospects
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 So... DDL: the only board league with all its original members? We should start a pool on who'll be gone 1st(death pool?)! Winning guess gets an extra 2nd round draft pick.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Just looking over the Google Doc briefly, we're going to have a record number of dissolved picks this draft. Maybe even half the draft or more. I'll be making some cuts and s***.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Just looking over the Google Doc briefly, we're going to have a record number of dissolved picks this draft. Maybe even half the draft or more. I activated two guys and took them out of the sheet already. I'm going to be dumping some guys too.
TRM Verified Member Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 This guy is looking to grab some draft picks if you have extras!
TRM Verified Member Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 So... DDL: the only board league with all its original members? Save for my brief absence and the Silvergun scare, we haven't really even had a close call. I don't see anyone leaving for quite some time *knocks on wood*
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Save for my brief absence and the Silvergun scare, we haven't really even had a close call. I don't see anyone leaving for quite some time *knocks on wood* I'm thinking about leaving now. Just so you're wrong. And everyone will blame you for the departure of one of the Original 20.

Was this last night when you f***ed up my error checking formulas? friendly reminder to all. When moving assets, its always best to copy, paste, and delete the original. Ensures that formula's are always pointing to the right cells and that merged cells stay merged.

I deleted assets and then I cut and pasted assets from lower cells on to their place.

z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 yup, always copy. It messed up the error checking sheet (which looks at each cell to see if there is any duplication), and the cut and paste leaves the old cells unmerged.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Take one shot at Dinger and the whole board takes shots at your team. I almost posted something last week calling myself a contender for that 8th spot...then I lost to GP and decided that everyone is right about me.

What exactly messes up the error checking sheet? Hard to avoid doing it if I don't know what "it" is.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Can someone delete Lorenzen and Braxton Davidson from my farm? I can't edit the Google Doc at work.

Sure thing! The error checking is handled on the hidden sheet 'dims'. It's got a column that has a list of cell references to each value in the range of prospects. It then checks that cell for duplication of that prospect name. When you cut a cell and paste it over another cell, it changes the reference in the related cell on the 'dims' sheet (to reflect the move), but also destroys the reference to the cell you are pasting over. Cutting a merged cell and pasting it elsewhere also unmerges the cells you cut from. When you copy a cell and paste it over another (then delete the original value), the references stay in tact and the cells stay merged.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 I'm going to stand pat and not drop anyone.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 I'm going to stand pat and not drop anyone. The only tough decision for you really is whether or not to promote Urias to use another pick.

I processed the trade of Jack Flaherty awhile ago. I'm confused because I can't actually see the formulas and it scares me.

It's really not a big deal and 'f***ing it up' is a harsh way of saying, 'caused me a very small inconvenience' lol. Designed it to be super easy to fix.

I don't see anyone leaving for quite some time *knocks on wood* It's pretty easy to keep all your members if you're completely undiscerning. Rage and dump all your players into free agency? No problem, it's the DDL. Absolutely s***** at fantasy, and always finish dead last every year? No problem, it's the DDL. Disappear for six months and don't set your rosters? No problem, it's the DDL. Get caught colluding with a buddy? No problem, it's the DDL. Liken someone's girlfriend to a fat male comedian? No problem, it's the DDL. In fact, I'm starting to wonder if people are allowed to leave the DDL. Maybe if someone tries, you just refuse to acknowledge it and pretend they're still there, just to keep your record intact.
