Who's worse? Harvey or Puig?

What a catastrophe of a trade.

Puig is worse, but Harvey got super fat. I would easily take Harvey going forward, and I say this is a sad LOD owner of both.

Guys I think we all have to admit that cyborg was right about Puig. I know, I hate it as much as the rest of you.

How the f*** does he get credit before me? I traded him in May 2014 and told anyone that would listen that everyone is overrating him.

Switching to actual baseball talk for a second, since I rarely venture to the main board, do we think the Jays are better than the Red Sox moving forward?

If it didn't happen in the DDL, it didn't happen at all.

No credit for you!

So many questions on both teams. I wanna say we're better, but I'm not sure I'd believe myself.

Cyborg always supports my Min puns. I <3 Cyborg for this.

I support puns of all shapes and sizes, min to max.

Define "moving forward." Over the rest of the season? Maybe. Over the next 3-5 years? God no.

I desperately sought out a friend named Max in university in order to create a parabola themed Halloween costume, but to no avail.

I operate on a season to season basis. I was referring to 2016 only.

Maybs. Their offense is certainly over-performing to some degree and their pitching is pretty uggo behind Price.

their BABIP is historically high. 2015 Colabello high

Getting Andrew Miller late in the waiver draft is a nice cash-in, but a star catcher could haunt me for years. This trade was surprisingly difficult to pull the trigger on.

oh f*** off

I'm pretty sure you've bitched about several of my 'slam-dunk wins' that ended up blowing up in my face long-term.

Anyone who wants to shore up their pen, I could still move one of Familia, Dyson, Street, Watson, Siegrist, or O'Day. I'm probably looking for a depth SP, or perhaps to bundle one of them with HOFer Albert Pujols for a DH upgrade.

yeah but we ALL knew the f***ing second you drafted Contreras exactly how it would go down, to a f***ing T.

- Draft guy and cause a big stink to give him attention

- Post about him constantly while acting like you're not looking to trade him

- Pump his tires enough that someone gives you a good win-now piece for him

- Act like you think you're going to regret the trade

this is what you do, every time.

E: Also, I don't know if it's a slam dunk win, it's not a bad trade for zeros probably, but my point is that you can't regret trading a player that was really only ever on your team in spirit.

only issue with that narrative is that, the only reason he was able to trade him for a good return is that he followed up his breakout year with an even better year.

I wouldn't have traded Contreras unless I acquired Perez as a long-term C. Believe what you want. I could easily cash in J.P. Crawford for another win-now piece, but I won't leave myself bare at a premium position long-term to make a modest upgrade for the current year.

Boxy makes it sound like I pimp garbage prospects until somebody takes the bait. The truth is Contreras is a big-time prospect at a premium position who is bursting onto the scene. I would have gladly kept him if the return wasn't good. There was never any certainty from my end that I was going to trade him, in fact you can personally attest to how much I deliberated on it. This was by no means a quick trade.

I think it was a totally fair trade, Dingers just annoying cause he turned nothing into something and he's good.

I took the quick profit, but an all-star caliber catcher is way more valuable than a reliever, however elite he might be. z3r0s rekt me on the Shields for Giolito & Ventura trade, something I don't quickly forget.

Did he? Ventura is terrible, and Giolito is having all kinds of issues.
