Appel shouldn't be owned in a 240 prospect dynasty league, so I'm guessing BTS.

I regret you not committing to the bit

It's not as funny now that I'm a Pollock owner.

I understand this stance, but you should know I also loathe it.

Wait, are people under the impression you aren't going to flip him for some ******** package later this year to some rube?

Huh.

Why would I? He'll be back as a Top 25 player by September. I need a long-term CF. Although, that said, I did offer him up for Joc Pederson this weekend en route to a swift rejection.

It pains me to say it, but we've reached "hellllooo"-level on this one TRM.

To clarify, by "joke" you mean my penis after yet another disappointing sexual encounter?

Yep. Sounds right.

He might be a top 25 Centerfielder moving forward.

Jaime Garcia 2015+2016

175 IP, 2.47/2.90/3.23, 60.9% GB, 3.2 K/BB

He's pretty much Dallas Keuchel in the NL, minus the durability.

Haha holy s*** I love that guy.

The strikeouts are sexy is the official LS slogan going forward.

Yup, also holds the unpopular view (for a NL pitcher) that the NL should adopt the DH.

Max is one of the good ones, definitely helps that he's really f***ing good too.

Scherzer is a stud, meanwhile Corey Dickerson is god awful.

I think you guys need counseling. Are you tired of him being on top? Just talk it through bros.

.199/.227/.223 career slash line might explain it.

If the guy can't handle it, he should have stayed in the American League.

He's like an immigrant that moves to Canada and then demands Sharia law be implemented.

Sorry you suck at batting Max, but no need to ruin it for the pitchers that can hit.

Watching Bartolo Colon hit his first HR last week is a reminder of why the NL rules are so awesome.

Absolutely no reason to put a DH in the National League.

Generally pitchers care because of the free Ks they get as a pitcher, not hitting themselves.

The DH makes baseball so much more exciting. Bunts are not exciting.

Yeah, letting the pitcher hit is more for the cerebral fans., that enjoy strategy, as opposed to the ADD millenials that need five home runs a game.

Bunts may not be as exciting, but for the thinking man, speculating as to what the manager will do in certain situations is an enjoyable part of the baseball experience.

If the manager's directions is always 'hit away', it takes a lot of the fun out of the game.

Except for the fact that only one pitcher in baseball can really even hit at a remotely acceptable level. Other than that, no reasons. Oh, and more major league jobs for good hitters. And curbing the recent decline of run-scoring across baseball. And reducing injury risk to pitchers. Other than those, no reasons.

Sorry, how is an automatic out more cerebral? I would rather watch a major league caliber hitter face a major league caliber pitcher. Watching a pitcher hit is no less ludicrous than watching a hitter pitch. Some can do it passably on occasion, but it's really just a weird sideshow.

Scherzer is actually one of the pitchers that can "hit". Pitchers are pretty much an automatic out. Madison Bumgarner is far and away the best hitting SP, and he still only had an OBP of .275 last year.

Even watching Dickey try to lay down a bunt last night was painful.

Oh well then, let's stop letting shortstops and catchers hit too.

We'll make it like football and just have an offensive team and a defensive team.

Who needs to see Andrelton Simmons hit?

Andrelton Simmons career line is easily better than any pitchers line from last year.

You're right, having a pitcher with zero career MiLB at bats trying to hit major league pitching is totally the same as shortstops and catchers with hundreds or thousands of MiLB at bats.

Do pitchers hit in college? Just curious. Or do they jump right from facing HS pitching to MLB pitching..

Some pitchers are two-way players in college, like Stroman. That doesn't change the fact that they aren't major league caliber hitters though, by and large.
