Giolito + Ventura for Shields is really going to be super hilarious in about a year. Just god awful, but at least I knew that at the time.

I must be severely risk-averse compared to you two. I went through my complete ~70 trade history and there are arguably no big losses. I just make a lot of boring, pretty fair trades, winning the odd one.

Worst two are probably Trevor Bauer for Mike Olt, and the Dickerson-Scherzer deal which basically swung on Dickerson getting traded so soon but could also salvage itself if Scherzer's arm explodes.

Julio Urias could make me regret ever moving him I guess but at this point the Longoria + Trea Turner return looks at least fair.

Slim chance but I suppose Stroman and Tapia could make me regretful if Votto all of a sudden declines.

I have some bad ones..

Trading Kershaw

Syndergard + Glasnow for Longoria

Liriano for Andrus

Betances + Clit Frasier for Iwakuma

Those are just the fresh ones in my memory.

Lol wait that's right

It was separate trades:

Dan Norris for Urias

Urias to Hurl for Glasnow and Carlos Santana

Glasnow for Turner

Santana for Longoria

Gotcha.

Dan Norris for Urias is, uh, unpleasant to look at in it's own right, especially before he was Tigers property.

KK was my boy for a brief period. He traded me Urias, Joaquin Benoit for nothing, and then Souza for spare parts, all that offseason. Then during the season he almost traded me Mookie Betts - it was so close that it hurts to think about.

Now he'll barely talk to me though. I think it's over.

Danny Hultzen with more shoulder issues... man did I think that pick was a steal in the initial draft. Ended up carrying him through multiple cut-downs... sucks.

Have had some interest in Rodgers over the OS. Anyone interested in trading a young or close prospect OF for him, let me know.

Not 100% I want to deal him, but I'd like to see what interest is out there.

Michael Taylor?

He's one of only 15 players to have atleast 14 HRs and 16 SBs last year.

addendum; only accepting offers of good players that I didn't trade away for s*** a the trade deadline last year.

A lot can change in a year. We're all a year older and a year wiser.

Michael Taylor hit a 490 ft home run last year. He does suck, but I found it interesting. I believe it was the 2nd longest HR in MLB in 2015.

He's also out hitting Bryce Harper so far this year! WOW

Teach me your ways.

Well you need to establish a hype train in advance. You can't just pull a Michael Taylor out of your butt and expect people to bite.

It didn't work out, but see what Dinger tried to do with Michael Lorenzen as a reference.

It's the old Cooooo-STAN-za 2nd date routine. What at first blush seems repugnant becomes more palatable with repeated exposure. Eventually, it seems like a viable or even desirable option. Accentuate the positive outcomes while painting a picture of a plausible ceiling, and then disappear during the ugly times.

Or what Dinger successfully pulled off with Dee Gordon?

Wait, also minus the success part.

Much like Costanza, things frequently go awry for me.

Hey! Let's see if we can put Pandora back in the box for a second:

- I never traded Dee Gordon (who I stole in the waiver draft) for useless Matt Garza

- Therefore I never traded Chris Davis for Robby Cano

- Therefore I never traded Glasnow for Ortiz

I'd probably be in a lot better shape.

I can literally apply a Seinfeld moment to every aspect of life, and I usually do.

Just tell him he's a crankass. He knows the truth.

Boxy hasn't been cranky for like six months. I'm assuming it correlates to his fingers healing.

No doubt, I haven't pulled that out in a while. I just failed.
