My love for Hendricks is completely logical, but then remembered part of his appeal is supposed to be that people undervalued him, which NJH clearly does not. I really like Manaea too. Was very hard to go the other way.

So in other words: "You were absolutely right, Dinger. Great deductive logic."

I didn't mean to imply that your love for Hendricks is illogical, just that it's well known at this point and can thus be used against you. I disagree with you on his upside but I wouldn't claim he's a bad pitcher.

Zimmer has broad skills. I think he'll be like Alex Gordon, good OBP and contributes across all cats.

He's really not much like Gordon at all, though. He'll steal more bases, strike out more, walk less and might grow into more power. He's really a guy who will be Melvin Upton, prime Hanley or anyone in-between.

He's not like those guys at all. He's not going to steal 40 bases in the majors or ISO .200. Read a scouting report once in awhile.

I don't think Hendricks has any more upside than he's shown and I've never said that. There's just nothing to really indicate he's been lucky or that he's due for a bed s***ing. Throws strikes, sequences well and has a pretty nice change. He's a really smart guy and I think for someone who doesn't top 90 mph, it's definitely an asset when it comes to having to make adjustments. A mid-3 ERA guy on the far and away best team in the game with a K/BB that might reach 4 is a hell of an asset. He doesn't need to tap into any "upside" to attain that.

Why else do you think I accepted him, shitface? Because he was very average in AA at 22?

I have deduced your offer to be Raisel, Hendricks, and either Manaea or Kopech -- obviously taking advantage of Boxy's known love for Hendricks. Strong offer, I still prefer Reed though.

njh was clearly offering Iglesias + Manaea + Hendricks.

You guys are smart. But I guess given the hint there really was only two feasible answers (Manaea/Kopech both work).

My SP depth would have been gutted.

I'm guessing probably cause he was Top 50 on every list.

A bit of a saving grace, I know you need an OF upgrade but I'm not sure this deal would have made you better in the short term and I'm your biggest fan this season. I think you've got the second best team and I hope you take it to those cheesers Min and Donger.

SP depth is kinda overrated in 20 team leagues. Arrieta/Waino/Kuma/Liriano/Fiers is a plenty good enough Top 5 to get the job done. You can find back end depth fairly cheaply as the season goes on, and get lucky hits on waiver adds. I mean, you probably got Hendricks and Raisel for free to begin with.

I value what Dan Farnsworth says, he's my new favourite. f*** BP, Fangraphs offers everything they do except better and free.

Anyway, his report was quite glowing and eased my concerns about his AA performance (and apparently he had a fracture in his foot anyway).

65 FV is enough for me to roll the dice. Puig is a risk too, anyway, and Reed is likely a very safe bat. I'm not worried that he will replace Jon Singleton, who suxxxxxxx.

E: I say anyway too much. I need to read more books.

I think silvergun is the clear-cut #1 and after that there are maybe 4 or 5 teams vying for 2nd place. NJH has a great team, as usj.

I have been trying hard to buy shares of Reed in all formats with zero luck. I'm really infatuated with his fat bat.

Yeah, was just personal opinion. He has amazing pitching and a good offense. He'll likely have Manaea up this year (his inclusion really made me waffle on the deal I eventually accepted) which will make him even more deadly. I personally feel like he's a clear second but my opinion doesn't mean a whole lot, obviously.

Good luck. I truly hope Puig doesn't die on you, trust me, it sucks. That's why I was hoping to trade him to zeros, the *******.

I don't think there is a clear second, myself included.

Yes I got that from your previous post where you said that exact same thing.

I personally would put my team 2nd.

Hoping to win #1 in the lottery though. Like my odds with the 2nd most balls.

What was the trade?

Yazl Pweeg for 6'4", 240 lb. AJ "arm bar" Reed and the Zimmer brother that still has value.

Cyborg thinks Puig will wash out of pro ball this year so I'm guessing he loooooves this deal for Boxy.

My Freemason connections tipped me off that they were going to kill off OT.

There are a lot of things to dislike about him: injury risk, personality, mechanics, home park, race. The level of risk with Yazl is probably not much different than the risk of any top hitting prospect.

I don't really agree with that. He has a career .374 wOBA over 1300 PAs thru age 25. You would gladly take that from any hitting prospect if you could. Last year was a disaster according to most people, and he was still an above average hitter who put up 1.5 WAR in half a season. The level of hatred for him is disproportionate to his talent.

I'm just excited to see his Chopper when it's all finished. I bet it'll have rocket launchers on it. He'll be able to parachute out of it and land on the field!

I know Brett Anderson is fringe 20 team talent but finding out that he has a bulging disk right after trading Iglesias+Hendricks+Manaea would have been a bit of a dick punch.
