I actually feel bad for Andrus, that was next level Buckner stuff.

In his interview he stated he lost the series, let his team down, Texas down, etc, etc... his eyes were red as f***, plus all the skin around his eyes(from rubbing them). I truly felt sorry for him. That must truly suck.

Life goes on and he's a millionaire, so that's over.

Probably going to trade Chris Davis at some point this offseason so feel free to send me serious offers! 1B/OF Dual eligibility 50 HR threat.

Boxy probably should have just kept Matz. It will be tough to get a prospect that good back for old Waino with a bum ankle and elbow.

I probably should have kept Matz too. Garrett Richards doesn't look like the upgrade I thought he was. Oh well, maybe Meadows will amount to something.

Elbow? lol f*** off. His foot is better now, plus I got Matz back anyway.

Holy f***! Losing to the Royals is THE WORST. I want that team to get it's head caved in so badly right now. If it's not by the Jays than by the Mets.

I'm probably less invested than you, but I really like watching their team and have all season. I REALLY hate the idea of Ned Yost winning though.

They're entertaining but having them held up as some kind of baseball renaissance is annoying as f***. I suppose less so if you don't have a rooting interest in the Jays.

The Fox crew has been excruciating. They're acting like what's happened has been inevitable because the Royals are the better team, which isn't the case. Play this series 100 times and the Jays roster wins more than half. But according to the crew, the Royals just have more ways to score than the Jays, and are run by master tactician Ned Yost.

I mean seriously everything positive for the Royals is a testament to their philosophy but everything positive on the Jays is a huge outlier.

"Maybe we've just happened to see all his big games but this guy (Pillar) has looked good out there."

"People are going to think I'm crazy but I think Donaldson has a shot at MVP".

And these kind of stray observations come as asides in the middle of constant Royals fluffing. LIKE CAN HAROLD REYNOLDS JUST f*** OFF ALREADY!

"Josh Donaldson may be the most improved player in baseball" lmao.

That was my favourite. Like he's some pop up star.

It's just so bad and what kills me is that there's no journalism standard in sight. Doesn't matter how uninformed and ignorant you are, if you're an ex-jock and you can offer an opinion (no matter how egregious or uninformed) you have a job for life (unless you tweet something about religion).

Uninformed is better. A broadcaster who was honest about randomness in the playoffs would be fired. This is a soap opera and narratives sell.

Yeah that's the thing... The job is to inject narrative and god forbid events align with the stupid pre-determined narrative because then you can't hear the end of it.

HOMERUNS ARE GOOD, BUT NOT IN THE PLAYOFFS

Actually, if Toronto loses this series, it will be the poster child for the "great pitching and defense wins in the playoffs. Teams built on the longball don't succeed" crew.

And if the Mets beat the Cubs, it will support that narrative even more.

Was just about to post this.

I love baseball, but baseball culture is the absolute worst.

I wasn't getting the impression that the same narrative was dominating the NL coverage but to be honest, I haven't followed closely at all. I'm finding that I can't really get invested in other series when there's a Jays series going on. Also, as I get older, I pay less and less attention to what goes on around baseball. I'm pretty much a Jays first and (practically) only.

He was having elbow problems at the end of 2014, that was part of the reason I traded him.

I asked on him and Boxy raised my blood pressure.

Yes, Blake Snell is untouchable

E: If you're really going to call me out, then you should have made an offer rather than cry like a little bitch. You're f***ing insufferable this year.

Yea I dont know how many of you guys read the game thread, but not going the other way seems to be reason why this team isnt that great offensively.

I remember something about people responding much better to more frequent rewards ( i.e hits) than one larger( i.e homer) even when the greater reward was still more than all the smaller rewards added up in one of my pysch courses. Which makes sense I suppose when you think about it, the general pop. are all about instant gratification.
