In all seriousness, nobody thought Pollock was going to turn into anything super fantasy relevant, same with Cain. Sometimes these late bloomer 15/20 guys can sneakily become good. Mahtook was a big name on draft day, that I remember.

I'm talking about prior to 2014. You definitely hit on Pollock but there were lots of signs after his 2014 season; not so much before.

Who cares about Mahtook when Max Kepler just got called up? Now that guy is the next AJ Pollock.

 

On a related note, why the f*** did the Twins call up Kepler but not Berrios? Would he not instantly be their best reliever? 2 games back...
