Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Maybe Lorenzo Cain is a better comp, or Starling Marte.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 I wish Greg Bird wasn't such a goddamn stud for just these three games. lol
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Boxy, Mikie Mahtook is rocking a 159 wRC+ after today's home run... the next Pollock? Boxy will trade him away this offseason.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Boxy, Mikie Mahtook is rocking a 159 wRC+ after today's home run... the next Pollock? Yes. Absolutely the next Pollock.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Yes. Absolutely the next Pollock. Without checking at all... I'm going to assume you own him in LOD.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 In all seriousness, nobody thought Pollock was going to turn into anything super fantasy relevant, same with Cain. Sometimes these late bloomer 15/20 guys can sneakily become good. Mahtook was a big name on draft day, that I remember.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 He's Randal Grichuk with speed who can take a walk. Totally agree.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 He is on the rays it would be weird if he didn't turn to gold.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Except maybe the guy who took him in BBDL, Premier League and #LOD. I'm talking about prior to 2014. You definitely hit on Pollock but there were lots of signs after his 2014 season; not so much before.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Randy was crazy about AJ Pollock pre-2014, fwiw. May he rest in peace.
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Randy was crazy about AJ Pollock pre-2014, fwiw. Was he, Randy?
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Where is Randy? Once he was kicked from the LOD he was never heard of again...
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Where is Randy? Once he was kicked from the LOD he was never heard of again... He committed suicide, this has been confirmed.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Boxy will trade him away this offseason. Hard to trade someone I don't own
Laika Community Moderator Posted September 23, 2015 Author Posted September 23, 2015 Who cares about Mahtook when Max Kepler just got called up? Now that guy is the next AJ Pollock. On a related note, why the f*** did the Twins call up Kepler but not Berrios? Would he not instantly be their best reliever? 2 games back...

Berrios should have probably already started multiple games for them.

Cyborg Verified Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Twins are dumn. Gave 28 (!) starts to Mike Pelfrey while Berrios dominated the minors.

TRM Verified Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 There's only one next AJ Pollock, and we all know it's Mark Appel.
