Does Dinger know this is a K/BB league? Dickey is ugly.

 

In his defense, he's walked 11 in his last 7 starts, while striking out 30. Guy has been hot and he's banking on him keeping it rolling.

Was there a positive update on him? Last I read, it sounded like he might be able to make two or three s***** starts at the end of September.

I think that's a dumb idea. We can't keep uprooting the whole community every couple of years. There's absolutely nothing wrong with this forum that won't also be wrong with the new forum given enough time. There are like 3 posters for which o2 is actually a problem, and all of them have the option of just not pushing his buttons.

It would be less about o2, more about upgrading the forum itself. They want to make it more interactive, dedicated fantasy stuff, etc, it just happens to be a good time lol

We wouldn't move unless we had a following of good contributors. So like, everyone in the DDL minus you. Idk why the resistance is so strong, a board upgrade couldn't hurt.

The old forum was broken. There was no moderation, and the functionality was still in the mid 90's.

 

This forum uses a very commonly used engine and therefore has decent functionality. It might have one idiot mod, but everywhere in the world that people go, you can find one idiot. If there was a new forum some rube like GD would end up as a mod and nobody would win.

That guy is the only mod, though. Gsnarls and Chappy are never online and Hurl has resigned. With fresh faces guiding discussion, this board could definitely succeed.

 

Just need to bug Juiced until he anoints a new guy or two. KingKat would be excellent. Someone else like Abom or Deadpool would be decent, probably.

I'm actually pretty surprised that this forum has been as successful as it has been. Ju1ced successfully gave the best members of the old broken forum a new place to talk ball, and the forum is kept reasonably up to date and almost never crashes. It has hundreds of unique visitors a day, and I believe it's still growing. He also created the blog that helped one poster launch his career, and could help two others if they're smart enough.

 

Of course the resident teenagers are unhappy and want to leave.
