The Nationals are bumping Fister to the pen to make room for Joe Ross.

 

BTS now has like 5 SP, because Cody Anderson doesn't count. This is what he gets for slagging on Ross so much.

The retool begins with a Robertson for Eaton trade. I'm gonna miss owning Robertson.

 

Probably won't move Betances now, but Ethier could go for a SP.

Eaton slashing .375/.494/.597 after the All Star break which has brought his line up to .269/.346/.422 now.

 

I like Adam Eaton, though from a fantasy perspective in a 20-team league, meh. Has CF eligibility going for him, though doesn't hit for much power and doesn't run that much as well. I think you could have got more for Robertson to be honest.

Had a few teams offer a 1st rounder, and had a couple offers of a prospect in the top 20-50 range. Decided to fill my vacant CF spot for next year instead.

Eaton seems fairly close to replacement level in this league, speaking as someone who's added Revere and Parra off the pile this year.

Don't like this trade for BTS at all. Players that fit Eaton's profile are always available on the FA list or at least the waiver draft. Revere and Parra like NJH said. Span is another one that comes to mind.

Yeah, my MO of hoping struggling older guys regress to their projections has been a disaster, so I tried adding a younger guy who's been very good over his last ~400 PA. Hoping maybe he's figured something out and can hover in the 0.340 wOBA area while hitting at the top of the order.

Another day, another Correa HR. 14 in in his first 51 games, that's nutso.

 

Any Kris Bryant fanboys willing to recant at this point and concede that Correa is the better fantasy prospect? He's hitting for more power and striking out far less.
