Grandal

Vogt

Lucroy

McCann

Martin

then a bunch of other guys

I'd probably rank Lucroy ahead of Vogt based on age and previous production.

Also, I'd probably throw a healthy Devin Mesoraco in the Top 5 over vets like McCann and Martin. He's still only 27 and last season posted a 147 wRC+ (obviously needs to be healthy though). Kyle Schwarber is an interesting name as well who I'd likely take over some vets since this is dynasty.

Do you agree that Grandal is two?

Probably yeah. I liked how Yahoo forgot to rank him and he slipped to the last round of nearly every draft.

Idk, toss up between him and Lucroy depending on health (but that comes with being a C).

Choo cycle alert.

The time to trade Jason Vargas for him would have been yesterday

I'm experiencing textbook cognitive dissonance right now. I love him, however every fibre of my being is rejecting the idea of a starter younger than 25. It's only a matter of time until I trade him for Hisashi Iwakuma or something.

A deal like this could happen. Thinking about trading Iwakuma. He's also not like your other oldies, this guy is Asian, and those guys can keep going for ever.

Wow, I'm surprised I was dropping Sunny references way back then.

"Hahaha cool. Having said that, Fernandez will probably blow his arm out, Syndergaard and Bradley will probably bust altogether, Myers will probably be a .230 hitter and Lindor will probably be a glove-only guy."

You were pretty close...pesky Syndergaard had to ruin everything!

Cool! I found the original DDL thread. I'm bored as f*** so this will kill a good chunk of time.

"If you just change league 1 then I guess I'll do it, but count me out if it's a new league."-Grant77

"With all due respect, this discussion doesn't really need to be had. There's a reason we decided to make a new league with some of these rule changes... this stuff wouldn't even get 7 votes in the Fastasy Challenge parliament."-NJH

"I didn't add you to the preliminary list because this is definitely going to be a 20 teamer on Yahoo, and I thought you were only interested in a 30 teamer on Fantrax. Is that not the case?" -NJH 2 years ago eerie

"Kinda seems like a forgone conclusion that Taveras-Myers are going 1-2, but I wouldn't blame someone at all for taking Hamilton there either." -Dinger

"I was gonna say it's more than likely the pace stops on jaysblue. Didn't want it to seem like me calling him out though... cause it was not at all." -Min

"If I want to use my entire 12 hour window I will, and you know what I may just do that just to pi$$ you off." -jaysblue @ BTS immediately afterwards

"NJH selects Mike Zunino. Havok22 is on the clock (starting at noon, technically)." the legendary moment

this is fun thx Boxy. let me in pls

There's some really spectacular Min/North drama from the early months of the league.

Also, don't sleep on the fact that I was a very last minute, ad hoc 20th member.

Wow people really hated my Beltre-Zimmerman swap lol. I thought the reaction was more even.

Some people putting money down as well lol:

Gibbers: "I'll put a $100 on the line for your new league that by the end of year 4 with the structure you've currently discussed there will be a clear divide amongst the best/middle & worst teams. And the stipulations be you can't alter the structure or hold managers hands that stink."

Is there a clear divide amongst the best/middle/worst teams?

I just thought it was funny that at one point you were seen as a pillager in DDL (no disrespect; an interesting thought).

I was way too abrasive back then lol. Although I stand by what I said.

Did Hurl sneak in? I tried to find the 2013 playoffs but the previous seasons drop-down isn't working for me on Yahoo!.

Yes, there was a fairly clear 2013 divide by July of that year, and by the middle of the first offseason it was clear who would be good for 2014-15.

Torontofan. The cheesesteak division has put in three playoff teams both years (and is on pace for this year also)

"Besides common sense structure I'm not in favour of helping teams out, just to help we're all adults. If a teams seems to flounder and heads south, and the farm is continually crap, and the major league team stinks, then maybe its time to look for a replacement owner. I'll give managers more than enough rope to show me otherwise, but if they're in over their head, I don't throw life preservers or bring them aboard my ship to help."

Pretty interesting
