Laika Community Moderator Posted July 20, 2015 Author Posted July 20, 2015 Pretty sure you can't lose fingers in an office I dunno, some of those older fax machines...
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 I dunno, some of those older fax machines... There are those paper cutter thingies too. I guess if your acceptionally dumn you can make it happen.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 For example, Angrioter just took a 12 year old IFA from this summer's class top 10 in the BBDL draft. Top 10 guy rule 4 draft for sure. Old strategy; I'm looking for high high ceiling guy (Mazara, Devers, Lara)
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Can a commish verify this for me, I dealt a 3rd round pick to jaysblue and the doc says I still have a 3rd. Is that from another deal I have done or was it just not removed?
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 JonKneeV (Indy): I'm REALLY down on Albert Almora. There's just nothing there to be impressed with. Am I wrong? Finish this sentence: In 2017, Albert Almora will be ________. Christopher Crawford: Can't blame you, unfortunately. He's a really good kid, but the results just haven't been there, and in fact the tools have regressed the past two years. He's probably nothing more than a 4th outfielder by 2017.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 I read that too, then I realized I've never even heard of that author before.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 You really should, he probably won't be an asset in a 20 team league. On the plus side, he's upped his walk rate (1.4% last year to 5.8% this year) to a respectable level, trimmed his K rate (16% to 10.5%), and he's hitting for just as much power as Jesse Winker at the same level despite being 8 months younger (.116 ISO vs .121). Considering Almora's impressive defensive abilities, I have no doubt that he'll stick rack up more career WAR than Winker, which is all I ever claimed he'd do.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Also, Almora's dad is dying from cancer, jerk. Way to be a POS human and kick him while he's down.
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 20, 2015 Author Posted July 20, 2015 Most people's dads are dying from cancer, we just don't know it yet. Not really a great excuse for being an overrated putz.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Yeah, but if you DID know it, it would affect your work performance. Well, maybe not you, but people with hearts.
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 20, 2015 Author Posted July 20, 2015 All he does is swing wood at a projectile and run around really fast on grass. He plays cave man in a funny uniform for money. I don't see how the impending doom of his father would affect that so significantly. Now, trying to sit around in a cubicle all day staring at Windows98 while your father's life ticks down to nothing - that would be tough. Mad at God for giving your loved one stage four dick cancer? Swing the stick harder, in anger. Sports are practically an outlet for such feelings. Almora should be BETTER because his dad is dying.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Ok, I laughed pretty hard at dick cancer.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Hey, Almora's plate discipline has improved by like 600% (going by B/KK), so I'd say that's pretty good considering how worried he is about his dad's aching butt.

z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Back-to-back 10K performances by Jose De Leon. Do I hope the Dodgers trade him for an established guy (quicker path to the majors for him) or not (don't really want him going to CIN or PHI)?

I don't see the Dodgers landing Hamels or Cueto, etc. Those teams will be asking for Seager or Urias as the primary piece, and there's no way Friedman is going to do that considering he already has the best team in baseball.

The rumor seems to still be out there that they want a 3rd top-flight pitcher to match with Kershaw and Greinke in the playoffs.
TRM Verified Member Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 You should hope he remains a Dodger. They have starting pitching need too and play in a great environment. Plus, trading him would perhaps indicate that the Dodgers don't fully believe in him. This is nonsensical conjecture.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 The rumor seems to still be out there that they want a 3rd top-flight pitcher to match with Kershaw and Greinke in the playoffs. Greedy bastards.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Greedy bastards. Running out a Cueto with those guys would just be unfair in the playoffs.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 The dodgers can afford to trade Leon. Zach Lee is primed and ready!
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 There may be a similar effect with prospects. There might be but it's pure conjecture on your part.
