z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 whats the cutoff for suxxxxx. I feel like my team deserve that title.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 (edited) I think this 2 week matchup against Hurl is going to decide if I'm going to start selling off some players or not. Started the season off 3-1-0, two of the wins being blowouts. Since then I've gone 0-7-3. The prize player available will be Adrián González, currently leading my team in most of the offensive cats. Torii Hunter will be sold to the highest bidder. A few starters will be going too, most likely Jimenez and Iwakuma, maybe even Liriano. Edited July 13, 2015 by The Cats Ass
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 That's a very nice PR, thank you Boxcar.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Wow, I am almost rly good Your pitching is terrific.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Jesus Christ, Jeurys has a full season's worth of saves already. Tits!
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 whats the cutoff for suxxxxx. I feel like my team deserve that title. I don't think anyone deserves to be grouped with myself and KK

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 I don't think anyone deserves to be grouped with myself and KK Only sub-.350 xW% belongs in that tier.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Leave. No one cares. Hey, I'm being nice today!
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Hey, I'm being nice today! This is true...to a creepy level.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 I finally had a good pitching week and was able to dispatch speedygose. I've been too liberal with starts so far and will rein it in a bit. Pretty comfortable with my team right now. Good week. The hitting was incredibly close. That was a tough one to take - Bryce missing 3 games really came back to haunt me
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Since we're just twiddling our thumbs for like 5 days, let's do a fun first half recap exercise! Team MVP: Anybody expect Pujols to be leading the AL in HR? I did not. Team LVP: Robinson Cano has been utter garbage (excluding the last two weeks). Team Ace: Chris Sale is basically Randy Johnson in his prime. Team RA Dickey: Honourable mention to Carlos Rodon (.365 OBPA), but I'm going to have to give this to Cliff Lee, who needs to retire and put me out of my misery. Breakout Prospect: Michael Kopech - slim pickings on this farm. Dud Prospect: Blake Swihart - rushed to the majors, maybe can't hit at all.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 This is true...to a creepy level. I have a plant that I've been watering for 4 years and it finally flowered today.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Is Francisco Liriano the most underrated pitcher in baseball or what? Dude has ace-like numbers and nobody ever really talks about him. If he was on Cleveland we'd all be polishing his knob weekly.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 I have a plant that I've been watering for 4 years and it finally flowered today. You should get some weed plants. They flower a lot quicker.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 You should get some weed plants. They flower a lot quicker. Far too labour-intensive.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Team Ace: Carlos Carrasco is basically Chris Sale with ground balls. And an ERA that starts with a 4. David Price is still your ace.

Dude has ace-like numbers and nobody ever really talks about him. If he was on Cleveland we'd all be polishing his knob weekly. He's been doing this since the middle of last year. And was good in 2013. You're pretty good at pumping up players, if you wanna promote him for me I'll throw you a draft pick. Liriano should be an easy one for you, since he actually has talent.

BTS Community Moderator Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 I traded Liriano+ for Headley last year. After a strong first two years in the DDL, the last year or so has been a cavalcade of egregious mistakes and org-crippling decisions.

SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Team MVP: Bryce. Having that megastar year I (and everyone) was waiting for Team LVP: Most have been pretty much what I expected, perhaps Duda or Upton - who have both been really slumping the last month Team Ace: Lance Lynn would make the most sense here but Jesse Chavez has been quite nice for me, better than expected Team RA Dickey: Tim Lincecum or Ricky Nolasco. Both suck Breakout Prospect: Lewis Brinson, he has lowered his K rate, raised his walk rate, doubled his ISO and has a 152 wRC+. Promotion to AA seems imminent. Dud Prospect: Kyle Zimmer. His shoulder is basically falling off at this point, if he becomes a late inning reliever I would consider that a strong win
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Team MVP: Adrián González has shown he's still got it at the ripe age of 33. Team LVP: Puig you better pick it up or you're going to the slaughter house. I expect better things out of you. Team Ace: Liriano, Francisco... He's actually put up slightly better numbers than King Felix this year. Team RA Dickey: Julio Teherán has been my worst non-injured pitcher. Breakout Prospect: Alexander Reyes - Shooting up the prospect charts + has amazing stuff. Dud Prospect: Teoscar Hernandez - Won't be going 20/30 again this year.

If this breakout happened last year I would have won PL, instead I got relegated.

The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Liriano could be all yours... As for Puig, I'll probably still hold onto him. I just expect more than 4 HR and 1 SB from him.

After a strong first two years in the DDL, the last year or so has been a cavalcade of egregious mistakes and org-crippling decisions. I traded Liriano to you that same day for Andrus. Luckily I was able to get him back this offseason for Josh Hamilton.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Team MVP: Dee Gordon. Is he really for real? Has been this year Team LVP: hmmm Myers due to all the injuries I guess? I can't complain about many of my hitters when playing, just all the injuries and lack of playing time. Team Ace: Masahiro Tanaka. When he's pitching, he's a beast Team RA Dickey: So hard to choose with a rotation this bad. I guess I'll say Pelfry (which tells you all you need to know about my starters.) Breakout Prospect: Trea Turner. Making last years numbers look legit, rocketed to AAA this year. HM to Giolito, but I wouldn't call him a breakout, more of a already was. Dud Prospect: Nick Gordon. Ugly year but at least the scouting reports are still fairly positive. HM to Alex Meyer, though a lot of that is BABIP I think.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
