Laika Community Moderator Posted May 4, 2015 Author Posted May 4, 2015 Craig = Hosmer. lol Not sure why you find that funny, Craig laughably out-produced Hosmer the prior 3 years and Hosmer is coming off a .314 wOBA/.127 ISO. For one, Hosmer will actually have 400+ ABs So will Craig. He won't even be a Red Sox come opening day.
TRM Verified Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 The whole exchange was laughable at the time, and laughable in hindsight. Unless Dinger was trying to pump Craig's tires in anticipation of trading him (which would have been useless anyway since we basically had a league wide troll job ruining Craig's value) it's one of his worst arguments of all time. Bailey exploding and Jones setting the world on fire in April makes the trade look bad, but I'm pretty comfortable with Hosmer being essentially equal to Jones in this format moving forward still.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Haha I forgot about that, TCA strikes again! It's not my fault Bailey exploded.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Lol at trying to pump up Big Hoz. Let's revisit this in 3 months when you're dick deep in woe. And I thought it was pretty clear I was trying to build some sort of trade value for Craig. It only takes one buyer.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Interested in seeing what Bogaerts could return.
TRM Verified Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Bailey was already broken, lol. Yeah, he got extra broken though. I was intoxicated by the idea of adding 2012/2013 Bailey and actually having a decent rotation that was also under the average age of 37, so I thought with my heart and not my head. Oh well, you live and learn.

TRM Verified Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Let's revisit this in 3 months when you're dick deep in woe. You'll be hearing from me August long weekend, when we will be discussing Hoz as a perpetual 25 HR, 10 SB, 300/360/460 guy for the next 10 years.
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 4, 2015 Author Posted May 4, 2015 Interested in seeing what Bogaerts could return. yikes, already down to an 87 wRC+ after that blazing hot start.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 When Hoz' babip and BB rate stabilize, he's still the same decent average/low pop 1B he's been.
TRM Verified Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 In fact, I'm gonna go ahead and make Hoz my guy. North has Kemp, BTS has Doubront, Boxy has Winker, Spanky has Despaigne, and I have Big Hoz. Hoz is the new Zach Lee.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 yikes, already down to an 87 wRC+ after that blazing hot start. I can never have nice things. Even Jose Abreu has sucked.

Steamer and Zips both have him pegged for 15/65/65. Yawn. 2nd division 1B in a 20 team league. Next you'll be telling me Steve Pearce is a Top 30 hitter.
TRM Verified Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 I can never have nice things. Even Jose Abreu has sucked. I have found it prudent to trade off any batter that you acquire in the DDL that I own in any of my other leagues the moment they join your roster.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Handsome Jake has been supergood. Thought I'd bring some positivity to this thread.

Laika Community Moderator Posted May 4, 2015 Author Posted May 4, 2015 I'll sell you (or anyone!) Hundley for a real bargain when Lucroy is back, preorder yours today. You are the used car salesman of the DDL TCA is the slimy businessman with no moral compass Jaysblue is the guy who cold calls elderly people with a scam
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Looking for another top of the rotation arm to pair with Greinke. If you have a surplus of arms, send me a PM.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 the market in this league is pretty fun. A season or two back you couldn't trade a good arm for pennies on the dollar (as far as I remember), and now everyone seems to be sort on arms. Interesting to say the least.
TRM Verified Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 I sometimes weep about my ex-True Card rotation: Felix Harvey Cobb Ross Wainwright Salazar Iwakuma Holland Archer Alvarez Syndergaard Glasnow At least you turned all these arms into a kickass set of bats

I think part of the reason for this is back in the first year everyone was naive and convinced that their prospect arms were going to become perennial Cy Young candidates. Reality set in though, and now we realize how valuable a truly good and dependable arm is, and that there is never too much depth in a rotation.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 At least you turned all these arms into a kickass set of bats Harvey - Braun Cobb - Choo Holland - Andrus Salazar - Belt Felix + Syndergaard - Abreu Ross - Kendrick I just might be an idiot. Still have the top-ranked pitching and 17th offense.
JoJo Parker Dunedin Blue Jays - A SS On Tuesday, Parker was just 1-for-5, but the one hit was his first professional home run. Explore JoJo Parker News >
