It's with a solemn heart that I declare the Allen Craig sweepstakes over. Boxy is the new owner, which should assure Craig's resurgence.

Well guys

Looks like it finally happened.

Can you all bookmark this page to make fun of me when Jimmy Nelson ends up being way better than Pomeranz? Thx.

Who'd you end up going with?

That's not the way things work with players I own.

I was going to offer Craig for Nelson but I changed my mind to Pomeranz at the last second.

I actually want Craig to work out, he was such a good hitter so recently. He's fun to own when he's going well.

Pomeranz. Not nearly enough for Craig IMO. I don't think he's finished after one bad year. Nice move Boxy.

I like this for Boxy.

Allen Craig is an Allen Craig type bat, and I don't think Pomz is long for the rotation with his K/BB history and the amount of names behind him.

I take this as

A) you find me so irrelevant that you want Craig to succeed for a real feel good story as he propels me into 19th place or

B) you're fibbing

3 consecutive years with a 130+ wRC+ for Craig before 2014. At just 30, he could have another 5 big years left in him.

No, I actually like Craig and still believe in him (somewhat). I think we both know if he hits well, you're going to trade him to one of my competitors anyway.

I predict you own Craig by the trade deadline.

Yeah I'm surprised Dinger would trade his only decent depth bat for a return like this.

Maybe I'll develop a Winkeresque crush on him.

I emailed you about a second late, apparently.

I would probably prefer Nelson in LOD, but the park and team matters here for me. Pomeranz' breaking ball is looking really sharp this spring and will benefit being out of the thin air in Denver. He's currently at 15:3 thru 9 innings this spring, so I think it's pretty likely he'll land a rotation spot. I actually like Boxy, too, so I don't really mind the prospect of losing this trade.

I find it amusing that all the critics of the trade were unable to offer something better than Pomeranz, even though they knew Craig was on the block.

They should be kicking themselves, more than Dinger.

Great point Greenwood.

It's all trolling.

I regret not making a play for Pomeranz or Nelson. I like both of them a lot.

I still have Nelson.

This is why you can't be in the DDL.
