If you're trying to compete this year absolutely. If not you might miss a chance at a nice young guy who gets called up. Last year players that fit that category in the BBDL were Marco Gonzales, Jacob DeGrom, Jimmy Nelson, Chris Taylor, etc.

The BP should be above average, and having an SP-eligible closer in Mejia is a nice boon. Catsass also has a couple tricks up his sleeve with Syndergaard and Glasnow, who lead an above average farm.[/TD]

It was pretty hard to slot your farm in alongside the grades you gave out.

 

On that note and on further inspection, you definitely goofed FeatherD's farm grade. Much better than a D with Severino and Bell at the top, Lamb a potential fantasy 3B right now, and same name-brand upside guys in Holmes, Clarkin, etc. Severino could very well have more talent than Rodon.

Strengths: Everything. This team is elite everywhere and is a huge favourite to finish first overall again.

Questions: Will the baseball gods take a s*** on Dinger's chest in the playoffs again this year?

 

2. London Slayers

Strengths: The best 1-3 in the league in Kluber-Darvish-Hamels, and a very deep lineup anchored by Edwin and Lucroy.

Questions: Will Melky in Coors stay healthy and provide SG with another elite bat? (I f***ing hope not). Does Aramis Ramirez have anything left in his last season?

 

3. BALCO Pharm Team

Strengths: Elite offense with reliable impact bats lined up 1-9. Deep rotation fronted by Price and Carrasco, with solid innings-eaters rounding out the top-6.

Questions: Can Carlos Carrasco repeat his 2014 and give North a second ace?

 

4. The WAR Puigs

Strengths: A top-3 rotation anchored by Felix, Strasburg, and Iwakuma that's six deep. Elite young core in Puig/Gomez/Rendon.

Questions: Will catsass once again be to drunk to manage this excellent team to the playoffs? (I f***ing hope so)

 

5. The Butt Stallions

Strengths: Depth: The lineup and pitching staff are loaded with potential impact talent.

Questions: How will the large number of boom-or-bust players pan out? Castillo, Pearce, Davis, Souza, Arrieta, and Salazar are all capable of highly productive seasons, but all have significant questions.

 

6. Twist and Trout

Strengths: The best hitter and pitcher in the game, and a deep pitching staff that is filled with reliable quality inning eaters behind Kershaw.

Questions: Is the lineup good enough behind Trout? Every other hitter on the team has significant warts, and if Trout goes down or struggles a bit things could get ugly.

 

7. 2nd Leg to Stanton

Strengths: A deep lineup anchored by Stanton, with impact bats like Donaldson, Jones, and Holliday in support.

Questions: Is the pitching deep enough? Samardzija and Cueto are studs, but the collection of geezers that follow are not inspiring. That said, those geezers eat innings, and all accept Wilson are still pitching at a high level.

 

8. Triple Hawpe Brewed!

Strengths: One of the best young offensive cores in the league featuring Freeman, Posey, Tulo, Brantley, and Arenado.

Questions: How good is the pitching staff after Greinke? Ross, Hughes, Minor, and Peralta all have things going for them, but there are reasons to doubt all of them. How well will jaysblue be able to cope with injury/attrition? There are no picks and nothing at all on the farm.

 

9. ISO Horny

Strengths: A lineup anchored by Goldsmidt and a bunch of other solid contributors that should be a top-10 group.

Questions: A high-risk pitching staff that could vault torontofan into the playoffs if things break right. Guys like Latos, Wheeler, Medlen, Hutchison, Smyly, Gausman, and Anderson have huge ability, but also huge question marks. A couple reliable front-end starters would go a long way.

 

10. Taijuan On!

Strengths: A very deep lineup without holes that will do damage.

Questions: Will Spanky acquire help for a pitching staff that offers little hope beyond Cobb, Holland, and Archer? This is a team in need of an ace.

 

11. B. Inge Drinking

Strengths: Mesoraco, Santana, Longoria, Springer, and Ozuna are one of the better young offensive cores in the league.

Questions: With Fernandez out until the break, can Hurl piece together a pitching staff good enough to support the solid offense?

 

12. The Bryce Is Right

Strengths: A solid lineup anchored by impact bats like Upton and Harper. Power up and down the lineup with no real holes.

Questions: Does speedygose know that this league counts pitching cats?

 

13. (insert clever name)

Strengths: Huge upside at multiple spots. d'Arnaud, Kang, Polanco, Myers, Singleton, and Guerrerro are all capable of becoming top-100 offensive players, and Tanaka, Bundy, Johnson, and Ventura all have SP1 upside. This team has darkhorse playoff potential of a lot of things break right.

Questions: See: strengths. How many things break right?

 

14. Burrito Boyz

Strengths: A young rotation featuring Richards, Cole, Bauer, and Corbin. Top young OFs Heyward and Yelich.

Questions: Heyward and Yelich are both capable of huge things offensively, but will they break out? If so, havok has a couple of building blocks around which to construct his offense.

 

15. The Lyon Tamers

Strengths: An enviable top-3 in the rotation with Gray, Stroman, and Wacha.

Questions: Will Sammy decide to tear the offense down? It's a veteran group that's reliable enough to compete in a lot of weeks, but isn't likely going tolead to a playoff berth.

 

16. Gryffindor

Strengths: An offense without any real holes, though one that lacks impact talent.

Questions: Can Nova, Pineda, Martinez, and Garza stay healthy? If so, this team likely improves significantly from last year.

 

17. Georgia Peach:

Strengths: A very good young core of Marte, Soler, Arcia, Tomas, and Semien.

Questions: When will Gibbers decide to supplement the youngest team in the league with enough reliable talent to make the playoffs more than a pipe dream?

 

18. Bye Week

Strengths: Harvey and Ryu are a fine 1-2 punch for any team, and there are several intriguing starters behind them.

Questions: Will the offense win a single week?

Strengths: Umm... Aroldis Chapman is really good.

Questions: Is Boxy's single-season loss record in jeopardy?
