I was talking more about the type of trade where the return is only valid if the guy you're selling high completely tanks. Like Donaldson for a 3rd. Or any of the offers I got on Keuchel last year.

Pretty sure I was drunk when I made the deal. I did mange to move Bradley for Strasburg though. And I think the guy I picked with the pick just got moved for Khris Davis. Not one of my better trades, but I can live with it.

I've set the league up as a keeper league this year. Select whichever of your 20 keepers are on your Yahoo imported end-of-year roster from 2014. Doesn't matter if it's 2 or 20 - we will manually add the remaining after the keeper deadline (if this doesn't work for whatever reason, we will just manually add all rosters).

 

Feb 15th at midnight is keeper deadline. You should have your 20 selected in Yahoo and posted here or on ProBoards before then. Rule 4 draft starts on the 22nd. We'll still do 12 hour windows I think.

 

You can post your cuts now if you want.

Ended up being Archie Bradley, Billy Hamilton, Arismendy Alcantara and Kole Calhoun for Stephen Strasburg, Jaime Garcia, and DJ Peterson. Ended up trading Peterson for Wieters, and Garcia in a trade for A-Gon.

Just to let everyone know, I'm shopping Brandon Moss for a pitcher. I have a couple offers on the table and will probably pull the trigger soon, so if you're interested in a guy who has more HR since 2012 than Upton, Pujols, Rizzo, and Longoria, inquire soon!

 

How about Gallardo? And Rizzo is a terrible example. Rizzo has been getting better, while Moss has been declining the last 3 years in a row.

It isn't a statement of overall value, no one would argue that Moss is more valuable than Rizzo. This is sheer power output, and Moss has 55 HR over the last two seasons. If that's decline, I can live with it.

 

Gallardo's alright but I'm aiming higher. I have an offer in hand for a similar but younger pitcher.

Upton: 23 HR, 124 wRC+

Kemp: 20 HR, 124 wRC+
