Wow, Adam Jones and Rizzo both in the Top 10.

Rizzo and Freeman both seem high for a 5 X 5.

I just really don't see Rizzo being better than he was last year, and I think there's a lot of potential for him to be significantly worse. I like him a lot in a dynasty format, and I'd love to own his career, but I wouldn't bank on him as a Top 10 player in a redraft league.

5 x 5 is for neanderthals.

I wish yahoo would let you customize o-rank and in-season rank based on either 5x5 or 7x7 with SLG, OBP, hold, and K/BB.

Yahoo just doesn't get it. They have so many people utilizing their fantasy site, but I could see them losing ground over the next couple years if they don't start getting proactive.

I've just never heard anyone use top 200 in this type of format. In the LOD it would hold more weight.

pfft. I picked up a top 100 prospect (Keith Law) with the last pick of the LOD draft. And it was my only real input all draft.

Best hitter: Carlos Correa, SS, Astros

Correa went No. 1 overall in the 2012 First-Year Player Draft -- one pick ahead of Buxton -- first and foremost for his power potential. However, he has stood out more as a hitter than a slugger thus far in his pro career, batting .320 as the second-youngest regular (age-18) in the low Class A Midwest League in '13, and .325 as the youngest (age-19) in the Class A Advanced California League last year. He focuses on making consistent hard contact rather than worrying about home runs, using a short stroke and the entire field while displaying mature command of the strike zone.

Also in the running: Buxton; Jesse Winker, OF, Reds; Corey Seager, SS, Dodgers

What dates do you guys like for the cutdown and rule 5 drafts?

Cutdown by Feb 15th at midnight, start the rule 5 on the 22nd?

Not that it matters much. You can always cut before the deadline and the draft is offline so the start date is not a big deal.

I rebooted the league as a "keeper" league so people can just select the keepers that they still own from the end of year rosters last year, and the commissioners will add the rest of your 20.

Is it possible to activate trades so that we deal with roster players who were moved in the off-season?

We will deal with roster input.

Just select any keepers that you happen to still own before the cutdown date, if you please.

It feels like good teams are cutting better players than last year. I guess it makes sense, more separation between good teams and bad, and there are bad teams that will be protecting players not in the top-400 in keeper value.

Yeah I feel like a lot of my cuts are pretty good, as far as cuts go.
