The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 But he's got Jesus on his side... http://33.media.tumblr.com/6dfc8131c582bb80e602ee46d942564a/tumblr_mu2hkx8RK51rncbw5o1_500.gif
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Yeah, about that. It was a strange choice when Jesus made Josh throw that ball into the stands that killed a man in front of his young son. THE LORD WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS!
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Ya, that wasn't so good. Maybe he should look towards Jobu. At least he may be able to help him hit the curve, unlike Jesus. If only I would have had Clint Eastwood around to tell me to not draft him.
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 23, 2014 Author Posted July 23, 2014 Jose Bautista has a .631 OPS in July, and only 3 HR since the beginning of June. Spanky's trade tactics --> despairing himself?

Laika Community Moderator Posted July 23, 2014 Author Posted July 23, 2014 Then why did you offer Salazar + Harvey + your 1st? I can truthfully say that I never offered one of those three things.
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Jose Bautista has a .631 OPS in July, and only 3 HR since the beginning of June. Spanky's trade tactics --> despairing himself? Not really sure why he's taking it so slow. Bautista isn't exactly a model of health, and his value drops significantly if he gets hurt.
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 23, 2014 Author Posted July 23, 2014 Not really sure why he's taking it so slow. Because Spanky, A) knows he needs to make a thoughtful, well considered deal, and doesn't really have the attention span to do A)
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I can truthfully say that I never offered one of those three things. Because you offered several of them?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Not really sure why he's taking it so slow. Bautista isn't exactly a model of health, and his value drops significantly if he gets hurt. Or Syndergaard could explode, rendering your offer neutered.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I wonder how many owners have put in offers for Bautista. I see about 3-4 teams where it makes sense (and they have the assets)
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Everybody who's contending this year made offers, I assume. There's no such thing as not needing Bautista.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Jose Bautista has a .631 OPS in July, and only 3 HR since the beginning of June. Spanky's trade tactics --> despairing himself? Oops.
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Or Syndergaard could explode, rendering your offer neutered. I haven't made an offer on Bautista.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I haven't made an offer on Bautista. Neither have I. I'm in a weird spot where I'm waiting for my prospects to mature and don't have any expendable major leaguers. Haven't engaged in any trade discussion recently.

The top 5/6 could beat or get crushed by dinger in any given week. He's the favorite to win, but it's not close to a lock.
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Don't mind me, I was just posturing.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Anything can happen in a one week matchup, there are several elite teams. I don't think you ever stop trying to improve your team though, even if you are a contender. Choo and Craig have both been in prolonged slumps, so I am absolutely in on Bautista.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 so I am absolutely in on Bautista. Oh my god. Ellsbury, Choo, Ortiz, Moss, Craig, Hunter, Bautista. What would you do with it all?!
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Well I have been away for a couple weeks and surprisingly I have had the Song "free falling" in my head and looking at where I am heading in the standings I completely understand lol. Wacha, Votto injuries really hurt.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I thought Vogelsong was silvergun's property (or did he instantly cut him after that turd he served up in his last start).
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I was wondering that too. I saw him on waivers so I claimed him. I don't see why silvergun and cats ass wouldnt have created a trade and processed Vogelsong through. Dropping players to waivers is not how we process trades.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Cool, so I burned my waiver priority for nothing.

I had to dump a player to do the Shields/Lee trade with you. So I dropped Vogelsong, because I didn't want to drop anyone else from my team. Trades have been done like this before.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Imo I get the pick back or Vogey, but I'm not in the wrong here! No Backsies.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I transferred Vogelsuck to LS; may he torch your ratios during the playoffs.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Can't we all share the blame.
