Apparently the Reds never promote guys from A+ to AA mid season, but I guess Jesse Winker was just getting bored destroying guys 2-3 years his senior.

Since we're all plugging our underhyped prospects, how about Marco Gonzales' continued tear through the minor leagues?

76 IP, 9.2 K/9, 4.33 K/BB, ERA and FIP around 2.00 split evenly across A+ and AA. The Cards have done it again, folks.

I was very surprised that Weaver didn't go higher in our rule 4

It's gonna be such a nice feeling for you when Winker helps you win OBP like, 2 or 3 times in 2016.

Not going to lie, the Cardinal thing did cross my mind when looking at him.

I did the Cardinal thing with Piscotty last year. Seems to have worked out alright.

I wish I had some prospects to boast about. Hopefully some break out in the second half.

Its gonna be an even nicer feeling when you offer me your best player plus a handy for him.

I'll probably just grab Marisnick off waivers next year and then trade him for Winker+ during a JW slump.

Youre not meant to contend this year, better tear it down.

He has a solid lineup, especially whenever CarGo gets back. Pitching wise he's a bit thin. He has two nice studs in Kluber and Hamels. The rest are meh...

I think he needs Kyle Lohse :P

Kyle Lohse is exactly the type of pitcher I'd support trading for. Durable, stable skills, is sneakily elite at two categories, etc.

If I had a need I'd be interested.

Thank you for endorsing Kyle Lohse. I'll pay you a commission if I end up trading him :)

I'm just shocked at how all the contenders who desperately need starting pitching haven't made any serious offers. I even sent a proposal of Lohse and Tex for a veteran outfield bat who has an OPS below .800 right now and that was turned down. Quite ridiculous if you ask me.

11 homers isn't enough to move Tex from washed up piece of broken down trash to a desirable asset. I can see why nobody really wants him.

You're wrong, it's because everyone is conspiring against Jaysblue. There is no reason for people to not be interested in all the washed up vets he tries to sell.

Funny thing is Tex is better than what your starting at DH right now on your team...

I'm willing to package him with Lohse - my asking price has been actually quite reasonable.

You shouldn't be talking considering where your team is...

What did jaysblue end up getting for Soriano? I remember him being shopped pretty heavily along with the rest of the geriatric crew, but I don't remember the return.

I wonder who the "veteran outfield bat with an OPS below .800" is...... Jay Bruce?

As someone who doesn't act like a used car salesman, I have every right to be talking.

I offered something very fair for Soriano in the offseason but he decided to keep him.

Jaysblue, no doubt Lohse could help a contender, but most people are probably turned off because they anticipate too high a selling price.

Mid-first in my opinion, if next year's draft class is at all like this past one.

The second half of the first round this year was Tellez-Zimmer-Toussant-Blair-Tapia-Pompey-Beede-Olson-Nola-Newcomb. I'd happily hand over most of those guys to get Lohse if I needed pitching and we were at the trade deadline.

I can't see anyone actually giving that up for him. Last offseason a mid first landed Chris Archer, and was the biggest piece in a deal for Doug Fister. IMO Lohse is a lesser asset than either.

I find that firsts are better spent as complementary pieces to bigger trades.

I think the value of non-top-five picks is going to plummet as people realize what their picks landed them in this past draft. Archer and Fister were probably traded for less than they should have been.

Yeah I don't like doing one-for-ones of prospect/pick for a middling MLer. It makes more sense to package them for elite talent.

But they still have discernible value on their own.

Yeah. You can land a pretty good player for a package of first + prospect + okay roster player.
