Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Evan Gattis is f***ing s*** up. How bout that .402 wOBA?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Now with 36 HR, .828 OPS thru 158 career games. And a very modest K rate, I might add. I need to go back and troll all the preseason C tier lists that gave him no respect.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Congrats on the win Boxy! Now you must die. Yay!
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 16, 2014 Author Posted June 16, 2014 Sammy picks Mike Papi with pick #102, which it looks like I accidentally crossed out.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Here are the fresh Power Rankings:
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 How the hell is NJH besting 2 superior teams with that offense? That's some Joe Maddon s***.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 I said it in week 3 that i am going to ride this luck all the way to a MC Division Title.
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 16, 2014 Author Posted June 16, 2014 How the hell is NJH besting 2 superior teams with that offense? That's some Joe Maddon s***. Probably just matchup luck. I haven't even had time to fiddle with offensive lineups most days, beyond setting them in the morning.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Leading the league in luck dragons!
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Heaney promoted, Carlos Martinez making a start, gee and doubront on schedule to come back very soon. Finally going to have a rotation again
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Man, Verlandered again... *sighs* I mean i could take him off your hands if your tired of this pitiful performance. I would actually give you a couple players out of sympathy for you.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Willing to move Ubaldo, Morton, Nolasco and Wood if anyone is looking for pitching depth
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Sammy, your continued relevance and meddling is beginning http://i.imgur.com/FHUiXJk.gif to cause me to lose my tem-PER! (not getting references to Disney movies released in 1968=your loss.) Your dumn
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 If anybody is looking for a young 2B, I'm open to moving La Stella. He has hit .300 and walked at 10% at pretty much every level, and ZiPS is projecting his season line to land around .308/.372/.405. The reign of Dan Uggly is over, buy the new Matt Carpenter before the hype train leaves the station!

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Nahh.....he's still throwing 97-98, I think he's tipping pitches or something. I'll hang on. His fastball velocity has dropped mate lol. He's like averaging 92-94 if I recall.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Kyle Lohse is available for any team contending and looking for a front of the rotation arm. He's 8-2 with a 3.09 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 72 K's vs. 17 BB's in 102 IP. I'm also willing to package Lohse with Tex if anyone is looking for a power bat at 1B or DH.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 He's alright if you like empty OBPs. But PM me your asking price and who you'd be interested in. This is an OBP league, there's no such thing as an empty OBP. 2B is a very shallow position at the moment as well, league average wOBA is .302. Replacement level 2B wOBA in a 20 team league is about .310, so La Stella's ~.340-.350 potential is pretty intriguing.

What I meant by empty OBP was that he won't contribute in 12 of the other 14 categories. I gave him hits too, cause he should be able to get those.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 The odd win or save Altuve kicks in really helps out. (<3) He really IS a game changer, isn't he.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 LaStella doesn't run or hit homers. But the slash line is intriguing and he has runs potential as a profile #1/2 hitter (if they get tired of BJ or Heyward starts hitting for more power he could become the table-setter). There's keeper potential there. If I needed OBP or had a 2B hole I'd probably be interested.

Yep, you can knock the power/speed (Hi Matt Carpenter), but the OBP, H, and R will be above average for a 2B if he's given the role full-time. If I didn't have Bobby Canoe locked in at 2B, I would be holding La Stella for the time being.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 2B is really shallow. He would work on a team and wouldn't kill it.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 And funny enough, ATL has moved him into the leadoff spot for today's game. Not surprising considering he's slashing .364/.425 through his first 18 games.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Would you guys make this trade... 5x5, re-draft, standard. I get: Clayton Kershaw, Albert Pujols, Pablo Sandoval. I give: Edwin E, Jose Altuve, CJ Wilson. I just traded Lawrie straight up for Altuve last week.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Probably, yeah. Who's your 2B then? IMO the difference between Kershaw and Wilson is greater than the difference between EE and Pujols ROS.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Aaron Hill. Or I'd be able to pick up someone like Wong or Odor
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 He's averaging 92-95, tops up to 97-98, no injury sign is what I said, in any case, why do you and near half the league want him? I mean if that's so terrible? Because we like you and are trying to help you out...
