The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Prospects Mason Williams, Jesse Hahn, Eric Jagielo, and Kyle Smith could all be had pretty cheap if someone wants to take a flyer on any of them. They're guys I may or may not cut, I'll have to see. I've also already cut Nick Delmonico and Matt Purke.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Here are the PRs for this week. Luck = (W%-xW%)*100.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 It's also worth mentioning that "Luck" isn't entirely luck, and partially involves how well you manage your team to category scores as well. For example, you play Michael Bourn late in the week and he wins you the SB category while also hurting your slugging (but not enough for you to lose the category).
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Dinger's got maaaaad excel skills. I've got the whole thing down to about 6 min.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 My luck is too strong! Watch out this week Dinger!
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 My luck is too strong! Watch out this week Dinger! Throw some of that luck my way would ya!
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I've got the whole thing down to about 6 min. Took me 15 entirely because I can't figure out how to efficiently get W% in there. I copied and pasted from the overview page, had to make sure each team name was right, and then did VLOOKUP. How'd you get it in there?
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Almost up into the Good category but i need someone to chop BTS down a bit.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I've moved out of the elite squads
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I have a question, what happens if managers cut prospects who still haven't reached the MLB? Are they eligible to be redrafted in our Rule IV draft?
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I have a question, what happens if managers cut prospects who still haven't reached the MLB? Are they eligible to be redrafted in our Rule IV draft? They are, yes.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Screw that, this division isn't big enough for 2 upstarts! Don't worry you can finish 2nd right behind me. I think we are about to get a BTS RTTM
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 So my question is, I recall, ahem, someone describing a process where you'd stash a prospect on your MLB squad that's never played a game, then draft him to your farm. What exactly prevents doing that, and even if a guy's been owned, IE, Max Muncy I recall was picked up at one point...he's still eligible because he's never played a MLB game? Hi North.
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I think we are about to get a BTS RTTM I hope so. My offense has been under performing most of the year, and it should pick up.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I've moved out of the elite squads You're still pretty damn good, I just put the arbitrary elite cutoff at .600 xW%.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I'm looking to move up in the draft from #8. If anyone in the top 7 is interested in moving down and adding a piece let me know
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Also calling up Singleton. Fingers crossed these guys stick!
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Also calling up Singleton. Fingers crossed these guys stick! I anticipate that I'll regret trading Singleton. He could turn into a pretty studly asset in short order. Good luck with him. I think I'll try to keep the next close-to-MLB hitting prospect that I stumble upon. Need to re-load with some youth.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Will we be allowed to promote prospects if needed mid-draft? And if so will that open a spot on the farm or will that spot be considered frozen?
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I am hoping Lindor gets the call here soon. Ass dribble has been tanking lately. Help a brother out here Cleveland.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 While potentially risking the wrath of the Darrells, what does it really matter if you have an extra pick or two at the back end to keep options open during the draft, for situations like Kingkat suggested? If you went out of your way to trade for them, that seems like a fair benefit, where they'd dissolve the instant your clock started on a pick that would cause you to go over 12 prospects on the farm. I'm guessing it's too much hassle for the minor benefit, and I know changing rules in-season is usually frowned upon. I'm pretty sure that last year we didn't disolve the picks until they actually came up.
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 I don't really remember or care. It's all so inconsequential. Yes, you can promote someone mid-draft if you want. Yes it would open up a spot on the farm.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Ugh. At least I have DDL. Ugh at least I have the Premier League...and a win over NJH
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Can a mod flip my pick 46 to Spanky and his pick 80 over to me? Thanks.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Anyone need picks or want to do a two-for-two (I provide the middle two picks of the four and get the top and bottom ones)? I'm open for business.
