I've never experienced having a team with this many players banged up or on the DL. It's absurd.

 

Just when I thought I was able to start fielding a full outfield after acquiring Brown, I lose Myers to the DL and Maybin left yesterday's game in the 2nd, ugh. And Tex's wrist is acting up again. This year has been a total disaster.

 

Even Brown is sitting today because Niese is pitching. Likely won't be starting an outfield today lol

Post-hype player. He's been alright - not getting any HR's, RBI's or SB's however. His slash line of .303/.333/.449 is decent, though he needs to steal more bases to be valuable. Also, the guy is probably the most fragile player I've ever seen. Seems like he gets injured almost all the time.

Next year our draft will take place after the signing deadline, but I don't want to implement that change this year right before the draft.

The MLB Rule 4 draft begins on June 5th this year, a Thursday, and concludes on the 7th. Our rule 4 draft will commence on June 8th, the Sunday, at noon o' clock.

 

Our cutdown deadline will be the midnight before our draft (11:59 PM on June 7th). Everybody must trim their minor league roster to 12 total assets by this point: picks + prospects = 12. If picks + prospects 12 after the cutdown deadline, then surplus draft picks will disappear into the ether before the draft begins!

 

Picks that were dissolved into nothingness prior to the draft by an almighty Darrell will not be tradeable after the cutdown deadline. They cease to exist entirely. However, trades involving minor league players CAN occur during our draft, so long as each party does not go over 12 total minor league assets as a result of the specific transaction occurring. This means that in most cases an equal number of minor league assets will exchange hands for trades occurring during the draft.

 

As usual, we will have 12 hour draft windows and when everyone makes a pick they are expected to email the next guy up immediately! If you are on your phone or something and you can't easily email, then at least post a message on the forum asking someone else to email. The draft will happen on Yahoo.
