Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 According to @bbdlinsider, he is available but Jurassic Kats "would need to be blown away."
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Castro's available? You wanna broker that deal for me North? Maybe. Would you trade Hunter Dozier?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Maybe. Would you trade Hunter Dozier? Who wouldn't trade him? If someone deems him untouchable, fantasy sports are probably not for them.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Who wouldn't trade him? If someone deems him untouchable, fantasy sports are probably not for them. Some people think so highly of certain players that it makes them in effect untouchable. Homer Bailey was essentially untouchable for me last year, even though I was fully willing to trade him. Maybe BTS has a real thing for Dozier. -- By the way, what would you want for Huston Street? I could work you into this deal. Also, interested in Miguel Montero?
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 A BEAST of an effort by Garza for a pitcher I've been very worried about during ST. I hope it continues.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 According to @bbdlinsider, he is available but Jurassic Kats "would need to be blown away." Da fuq? I have had zero talks about Castro. That's completely made up.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Da fuq? I have had zero talks about Castro. That's completely made up. Twitter never lies bro. Where there's smoke there's fire.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 A BEAST of an effort by Garza for a pitcher I've been very worried about during ST. I hope it continues. Would you trade him for a package centred around Hunter Dozier or Matt Davidson (AL ROY)? Twitter never lies bro. Where there's smoke there's fire. lol c'mon, you're weakening my profile's integrity. I never post made-up stuff.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 LOLLLLLLL AL ROY Account hacked by angrioter?
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Twitter never lies bro. Where there's smoke there's fire. I have no room to store prospects and tons of picks so trading a rosterable young player who also happens to be the only catcher in my entire system would take one hell of a trade.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 (edited) Alright, here's the proposal I cooked up. To Me: Huston Street, MiLB #21 (Davidson) To KingKat: MiLB #32, MiLB #86, Hunter Dozier (Castro, #109) To Dinger: Miguel Montero (Street) To JaysFever: MiLB #24 (Montero, #86) To BTS: Jason Castro, MiLB #109 (Dozier, #32) To z3r0s: Matt Davidson, [DJ Davis or JP Crawford] (Garza) To Sammy: Matt Garza (#21, [Davis or Crawford]) Involved parties, comment if this interests you. We could make some alterations. Edited April 2, 2014 by NorthOf49
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Alright, here's the proposal I cooked up. NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 No. What if we upgraded your #15 pick to #5, and added a late-round downgrade of #65 -> #81 or #86 -> #106?
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Maybe if you weren't moving Davidson for two assets more valuable than Davidson things could work? Hey, I had a deal in place to get Chris Archer for Davidson in the offseason! You guys are way undervaluing him. I could take on the #32 instead and let KK have #21 though.
AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Generally, if everyone else undervalues a player on your roster, that's probably a guy that you hold on to, as oppose to try and trade away.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Not from either person who actually owned Archer though, lol. It doesn't matter... it involved the two people mocking him now lol. I should have just executed it instead of waiting for the rest of that trade to fall into place.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 What if we upgraded your #15 pick to #5, and added a late-round downgrade of #65 -> #81 or #86 -> #106? It's still picks and my farm is full
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 It's still picks and my farm is full Yeah, I get it. You rebuilding teams need elite prospects, not packages. What if you gave up more and got Gregory Polanco?
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Yeah, I get it. You rebuilding teams need elite prospects, not packages. What if you gave up more and got Gregory Polanco? Sure
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Yeah, I get it. You rebuilding teams need elite prospects, not packages. What if you gave up more and got Gregory Polanco? How are you going to do that?
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 It's annoyingly difficult to trade for 200-400 type players from rebuilding teams. The players are valuable, but those teams aren't looking for the type of pick/prospect most teams are willing to offer for mid-tier players. This is 100% true. I would say its not as much that they aren't 'looking' for those picks/prospects, and more that they don't have the farm room.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Proposal II To Me: Huston Street, MiLB #105 (#47) To KingKat: Hunter Dozier, Eddie Rosario, MiLB #32 (Castro, #109) To Dinger: Miguel Montero, MiLB #120 (Street) To jays_fever: Gregory Polanco, MiLB #47 (Montero, Folty, Jackson, #86) To BTS: Jason Castro, MiLB #86 (Dozier, #32) To z3r0s: Mike Foltynewicz, Lucas Sims, [DJ Davis or JP Crawford], MiLB #21 (Garza, Polanco) To Sammy: Matt Garza (#21, #105, [Davis or Crawford]) To Hurl: Austin Jackson, MiLB #109 (Sims, Rosario, #120) If anyone is willing to swap an MLB-ready prospect or young MLB player for any of the second-round draft picks mentioned, that could help.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Lol, these proposals are pure awesome
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 If Z3roS agree's to that, i may as well just offer him Jackson instead of Sims and take Garza with me. But no im not giving up Jackson, Folty and Montero for Polanco.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Lol at BTS's side. I think Castro's a little overrated but you're probably right. Maybe BTS throws in more stuff to get jays_fever a first round pick instead of #47. Are 7 team trades actually a thing? I was very close to pulling off an eight-team trade in December.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Get me in on this North! Throw my name in the mix! Lets make a 20 team deal!
