I had a look at him out of curiousity since I'm considering keeping Dickerson, and they're fighting for a starting job apparently.

 

Blackmon is kind of an interesting guy.

 

In his MLB career of almost 500 PAs, he's had a walk rate of 2.9% (for reference, JPA's is 5.3%)

 

But when he's been in AAA the last 2 years for half his PAs, he put up 11.0% and 11.7% rates respectively.

 

He did manage a .800 OPS in over 250 PAs last year, which is kind of weirdly impressive, even if his babip was high.

 

All I know about Blackmon is that he torched me in the fantasy playoffs last year. I think he had a 1.200 OPS along with like 18 hits that week. I almost didn't advance because of him.
