I'd take Kershaw for the ERA and Winz, but it's worth noting that Sale bested him in K rate, BB rate, velo, GB%, and he's younger. If you remove the team and park context, theres a case for it; but of course baseball isn't played in a vacuum.

In a vacuum so to speak..if youre starting a team in real life. No way you can take Sale over Kershaw if youre projecting 5 years out. Even 3.

 

The numbers are close enough where 6'3 220 vs 6'6 180 make it a pretty easy choice for me. I understand theres freaks every generation that defy physics.. But i think you have to play the odds..
