z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 I was wondering how long Clarkin was going to last.
TRM Verified Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 After long deliberation, A 2nd Leg to Stanton has elected to cut ties with Zach Lee, shipping him out. Cue the madness, I no longer have an identity.

TRM Verified Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 s***, I'm falling behind fast. Lawrie and Lynn/Cobb are available. I'll package them up for an impact bat. Its turning into a real f***ing old school arms race. Between Nick, Dinger, No49 and myself, everyones anteing up bigtime.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Such a great pick with Glasnow. I was holding my breath that he might fall to me but I was pretty sure he wouldn't make it past Silvio at 51/52.

The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 I just made my final pick for the draft. I feel I am fairly satisfied with my haul. I ended up getting... Mark Appel Rafael De Paula Phil Bickford Rafael Montero Tyler Glasnow All starting pitchers. And I guess Mason Williams who I got for picks could be included with the above bunch.
TRM Verified Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 I f***ing love it. Gets my juices going. It is turning out quite nicely for excitement purposes. I really gotta hope Prado gets it going a little bit. Everyone loved the pick back in March for jays_fever, but he really has not looked good. I know what I'm getting in Pettitte, a one year help go for it all depth starter. This trade is made or broke on the back of Prado
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Holy s***. I pick soon. It's happening! You think this is slow? In Fantasy Challenge we're still in the 1st round (24 hr windows).

Nice haul of high upside arms.

If you want one of the best arms, Iwakuma is still available.... Such a great pick with Glasnow. I was holding my breath that he might fall to me but I was pretty sure he wouldn't make it past Silvio at 51/52. Thanks, I thought so too. I had it narrowed down to him, and two other pitchers.

Yup, without question you win the pitching side of this draft.

This trade is made or broke on the back of Prado I dont think either of Barnes or Lee has top of the rotation potential, so the risk is pretty acceptable on your part.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Please delete that post cats ass. Dont cockblock me bro.
TRM Verified Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 I dont think either of Barnes or Lee has top of the rotation potential, so the risk is pretty acceptable on your part. Well definitely not Lee, everyone has made their feelings on him quite clear. Klaw loves Barnes though, so we'll see how he turns out.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Nice haul of high upside arms. Half of them won't produce anything worth while. But hopefully the other half turn into #1/2's or I'd even settle for #3's.

Klaw loves Barnes though, so we'll see how he turns out. I think they both have mid-rotation potential and high floors, nothing wrong with that at all. Nice assets in a deep dynasty for sure.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Boxy I think is the only other team finished with all their picks? Austin Meadows Dominic Smith Billy McKinney Austin Wilson Riley Unroe Justin Williams Andrew Heaney ---(Turned into)---> Jon Denney
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 I was wondering how long Clarkin was going to last. Is there anything that makes Clarkin special? Anything that distinguishes from the myriad of other HS pitchers drafted?
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Is there anything that makes Clarkin special? Anything that distinguishes from the myriad of other HS pitchers drafted? I like him. Good enough FB for a lefty with a little projection left, potential ++ breaking ball, change up has nice separation. I don't see whats not to like

The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 The Iwakuma sweepstakes has officially ended...
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 14, 2013 Author Posted June 14, 2013 A wonderful sell high, but The Cats Ass' pitching corps is getting perilously close to the frowned upon "tanking" territory.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 A wonderful sell high, but The Cats Ass' pitching corps is getting perilously close to the frowned upon "tanking" territory. Maybe you wanna trade me one of your starters for Howard or A-Rod? And it's impossible to tank with Kershaw and Buchholz on my side.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 This won't end well for me. Buying high and selling low ftw. What if this is Lawrie's actual high mark?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 A wonderful sell high, but The Cats Ass' pitching corps is getting perilously close to the frowned upon "tanking" territory. Hard to fault a guy for selling high on a 32 year Japanese import in a year where he's likely going to miss the playoffs. I'd do the same trade even if I was a borderline contender.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 What if this is Lawrie's actual high mark? If anything, that was September 2011.
