The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Same here. There are tons of really young prospects spread out across various systems. Few of them will pan out but they are all well worth taking a flyer on. I have 85 names in addition to the 2013 draftees. Most of them are quite young. That's a s*** ton of names. I have a list of maybe a dozen. Im glad my last pick is #50, i won't have to scrounge around for players in the late rounds.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Nobody bumped this or anything so...I picked Billy McKinney about 4 hours ago. Gibbers is up.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 So, I believe Gryffindor is up and on the clock now? Is it a 12 hour clock?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 So, I believe Gryffindor is up and on the clock now? Is it a 12 hour clock? Correct. I just emailed him to let him know he can pick now.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 I'll take DJ Peterson. The copy and paste function on my phone is a real hassle so if someone can post it for me, otherwise I'd have to wait to get home
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 10, 2013 Author Posted June 10, 2013 havok22 has been on the clock for a few hours
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 havok22 has been on the clock for a few hours Just made my selection. You're up.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Anybody looking to trade down? I'm looking to trade up from 55.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Anybody looking to trade down? I'm looking to trade up from 55. email or PM me. I might be interested. I only have pitchers I like at this point and I don't deal well in pitchers.

The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I can't believe my offense sucks so much. I blame Josh Hamilton! Note: Yasiel Puig is owned in 87% of the leagues, it's almost a shame he's not own in ours.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Sale on pitching, everything must go. I'm looking for pitching prospects, close to the MLB preferred. Will listen to offers on; James Shields Josh Johnson Matt Garza Josh Beckett Kevin Correia Ted Lily
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Also interested in dealing some of my older (but still useful) position players. I'll need something close to the MLB as my MiLB roster will be filling up. Brandon Crawford - average is still holding up and could be semi-useful to a team with no SS depth Nate McLouth - Has been a fantastic source of Hits and SB's. Available. Michael Morse - Has the potential for power.
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 11, 2013 Author Posted June 11, 2013 Therealmin's window is basically done, but since he has back to back picks he gets another 12 hours and it's inconsequential.
TRM Verified Member Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I can't get on Yahoo at the moment, but I pick Marco Gonzales, and Jon Denney. Sorry fellas!

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I pick Marco Gonzales Someone will be upset that you drafted a true Cardinal.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Subject: (insert clever name) / A Wrench In the Plan trade To insert clever name: Yordano Ventura, Lucas Giolito, #88 To A Wrench In the Plan: #76 This one confuses me I must say...is there something I'm missing with this deal on the major league side?
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 damn people should post the whole trade. I go off of my email I get...I don't like to look at the league when I'm getting rocked. Got to agree he did well. Giolito will be a MiLB roster clogger and probably dropped before he ever sees the majors. Ventura is a September callup who I love though
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 12, 2013 Author Posted June 12, 2013 I'm surprised Dinger sold on Yordano. But I guess a bird in the hand is worth two on the minor league roster, or whatever.

I really, REALLY wanted that draft pick upgrade.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Shields and Morse also to A Wrench In The Plan. I like Ventura and Giolito, but think Dinger did well in acquiring Shields without giving up an uber-elite prospect. NJH and Dinger keep getting premium players, I'm going to have to make a counter-move! I guess that depends on how you define uber-elite. I think Yordano is a Top 25 prospect right now and Giolito has ace potential. I very much expect to lose this trade in the long run if I don't win a ring soon.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Anybody want Denard Span or Jon Jay for a pick? Drop me a line.

I do wish I got more for Shields, but I've been shopping him for what seems like months and I haven't got the kind of deal I wanted. I get the feeling that prospects and picks are WAY overvalued in this league. *edit* Not that I don't like Ventura and Giolitto
