Starting next game we should start a board first home run contest. Pick a player who you think hits the first jays home run each game. If you pick the right player you get points. You get more points for picking a more rare player. For example if you pick Jose you'd get 1 point but if you pick melky it'll be worth 4. There was something similar to this on a leafs board for first leafs goal. Made each game more interesting and fun for the board. We can see who leads in points by the end of the season.

While i am usually overly optimistic, I am getting worried for next year and beyond. Is Reyes enough to turn a whole team around, I dont think so.

That is an awful lot of inflated salary to carry if all these underachievers still to their current trend.

Mariners are my 2nd favourite team. I'd pick them to have the brightest future in the AL. Lot's of minor league top talent and the new tv deal will give them money to spend too.
