I am taking my son to Pittsburgh to catch a hockey and baseball game in April. My brother in law used to be the assistant trainer for the local QMJHL here and the trainer there is now the head trainer

The fact that all the Canadian teams are sucking this year probably isn't helping.

 

No I'm a Leafs fan, I'm used to sucking

 

Even if I wanted to watch this year I wouldn't have. Can't watch a tanking team. Impossible to watch when you know it's best to lose.

It's the fake parity. There shouldn't be a shootout. 2 points for a win, 1 for a tie, 0 for a loss. The shootout is the worst thing to ever happen to the NHL. The salary cap also doesn't help. There are no villains anymore.

The League should change ROW's to 3 points.

So... Eric Staal is now worth Roman Polak + Nick Spalding, despite the asking price being Kadri + 1st like a year ago. Am I doing it right?

I think so, but I'm almost certain he's not as bad as Roman Polak + Nick Spalding.

No hes actually been very good and just unlucky. Taking great shots and has excellent possesion numbers.

The team will be fascinating to follow on paper. I hope whatever I used to love about the NHL comes back and it stops being so f***in boring so I can follow it on ice too

I hate the Leafs but have to admire how great of a job they are doing with the rebuild. In 3-4 years they should be a contender.

 

Let's not go sucking their dicks just yet. These picks they're accumulating have to pan out first.
