onwego Verified Member Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 I hate the philosophy of playing not to lose...but that's essentially what Bettman has created. Buffalo sits there watching 2 points handed out to Fla/Tor and a pretty good chance a 3rd one as well it's almost impossible to come back from a less than 500 start without an amazing win streak in the NHL
onwego Verified Member Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 Or win outright? the visiting team in a good position in the standings will rarely risk losing that tie point the NHL has not been able to solve this, offering 3 for a regulation win makes it even more of an incentive for the visitor to cling to that road point i don't like the Leafs turtling up 4-2, but until the other team scores two, all power to them
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 No, win outright... GO LEAFS GO!!!

Frag Verified Member Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 Bobby Ryan scores a hatty in his first home game after 3 months treating his alcohol addiction. It suddenly got a bit dusty in here.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2020 Posted March 4, 2020 Prime Draisaitl > Prime Malkin? Leon is probably going to surpass the single-season career best point totals of Crosby (120), Malkin (113), Ovechkin (112), and McDavid (116) this year. He's got 107 already and is on pace for 133. A chance to surpass Kucherov's 128 from last year.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2020 Posted March 4, 2020 That 1st period was lit, playoff hockey in the Bruin/Lightning tilt... highly recommend.

Actually these guys game styles are fairly similar, big bodies, know how to position themselves and use there reach a lot, with elite skill... good call.
