I think that's exactly what the Kings were hoping for. Moving Quick for a decent return should be their goal.

I’d see a fringe team trading for him, like Buffalo, with hopes that he stays healthy enough to push them into the playoffs. He’s 33 and the Kings don’t look to be competing again, so I agree.

Quick sucks. I don't think any team is going to see him as an upgrade, so with years left on his contract he should be nearly unmovable unless some funny stuff happens. Maybe a bad contract swap if some team's starting tender goes down?

There are always teams that aren't happy with their goaltending.

 

The biggest thing with Quick has been his health. No...he hasn't been the Quick of old, but I'm sure you'll have some teams wondering if that's cause of eroding skills or because the team in front of him is garbage. I think a team with a solid core, cap room, and questionable goaltending would sniff around.
