If I was a new NHL fan and was looking for a team, I'd lean towards Tampa Bay. They run their organization masterfully. Always seem to be able to get team friendly deals. Trade well. Draft and develop exceptionally well, and are built for sustained success.

You're letting emotion make that decision for you. If you look at pure nuts and....."Bolts", Tampa is the gold standard for how to run a franchise in the NHL right now. Whether it works out on the ice is another thing, Tampa always seems to make the right move at the right time. It's impressive.

Well, that's because people are different. Pretty simple, no? I cheered for the Packers as they are awesome and loved Reggie White and Brett Favre, didn't get into football till my early twenties. Also, there's a lot more people on this forum that are Bills fans, I don't get where you're leading here, Boxbike?

Because there are different reasons why you forge emotional connections with teams. Geographic proximity, so you're familiar with the team and organically get attached? Maybe you've moved and still cheer for the team from the city you started in. Family allegiances...your dad, grandad, cheered for Team X and you grew up with that being the team in your household. Lots of different reasons.
