Pretty sure absolutely nothing will come from this other than him having to issue a statement to appease any busybodies who care about this for some reason.

We'll see, it's already under investigation of banned substance abuse.

Leafs extended Keefe for 2 more years... had to be really good cash, as they didn't want him getting poached. He'll be Babcock's successor...

The Toronto Maple Leafs signed Toronto Marlies head coach Sheldon Keefe to a two-year contract extension, the organization announced Tuesday.

Keefe has spent the past four seasons as Marlies coach and led the team to its first Calder Cup championship one season ago.

“Over the last four seasons Sheldon has done a great job developing our individual prospects into Maple Leafs while also guiding the Marlies deep into the playoffs in each of his four seasons with the organization, including the Calder Cup in 2018,” Maple Leafs general manager Kyle Dubas said in the press release. “Ensuring that Sheldon remains tasked with guiding the development of our prospects was very important to our program and the reason we began the discussion to extend Sheldon months ago.”

The 38-year-old Keefe has a record of 189-87-20-1 with the Marlies and holds the franchise record for most wins and highest winning percentage.

Prior to joining the Marlies in 2015, Keefe was head coach of the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds for three seasons. His GM for two of those years in the OHL was none other than Dubas.

“It’s been a privilege and honour to be part of the Toronto Maple Leafs organization and head coach of the Toronto Marlies for the past four seasons,” Keefe said in the press release. “In my conversations with the Leafs over the past several months, I felt that staying on with this club was the best decision for me, my family and my development. I’m incredibly proud of our recent achievements as a club and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue to develop young Maple Leafs.”

Aaaand the Bruins take Game 1. Petty damn good 2nd half of that game... impressive!

Geez... I thought you were joking, he's f***ed.

My Bruins shook off the rust to finish that game strong.

Bud of mine had was given a video at the bar he owned in Calgary - Miika Kiprusoff doing blow with the staff during the Flames Finals Cup run in 2004.

Luckily social media wasn't as prevalent then and my buddy isn't a dick.

Everybody knows Kipper loved/loves his blowcaine.

Ya. Lol. You are from here. My bud was one of owners of the old cowboys. That’s where it was. Kipper liked the party. Full on. That was a good run in 04 vs TB.

Zaitsev has asked the Leafs for a trade.

Leafs fans have asked the Leafs to trade Zaitsev for a couple of years now.

The Leafs will look to accommodate both parties.

How? Who gives a s***?

You guys were right, insufficient evidence, he made an apology for being in that situation, he was simply in the room. :P

Is Dubas more likely to package him up with a pick, or take another bad contract back?

Crazy how Marleau would allow a trade, ostensibly to let the Leafs get cap room for D-men. This is a guy who always wanted to be a Leaf and finally got to play for them as a contender, and now he’ll step aside because his contract is an obstacle for the team, when he doesn’t have to. You don’t see that kind of selflessness from pro athletes.

His family has already moved back to California and he put his Toronto house up for sale. There's is no selflessness involved here. He wants out cause his family wants out.

If he always wanted to be a leaf, why did he stay with the Sharks for like a billion years

This is probably the first Stanley Cup final that I have not watched in a long while. Guess the Raptors are playing a significant part of that, mixed with Buck Foston.

Going back to Boston for game 7.... FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Chewing my nails off watching this Final. Back in BOS for Gm 7.

Have to give my B's the edge but in one game its all about who gets a couple bounces and which goalie stands on their head.

Goal #2 last night on the knuckler was the first break the Bruins got in last couple games.

Yes, that goal was a gratuitous bounce if I ever saw one, whomever wins on Wednesday, it'll be Rask or Binnington taking the Conn Smythe Trophy, imo. Enjoyed these playoffs so far, it's kind of a kick in the nuts knowing we had your Bruins on the brink of elimination. Good Luck Wednesday, BC, I know you're a huge fan!

That feeling Leafs fans must have sucks. Its like losing to KC in 2015. You know you are in trouble when Escobar is tearing it up at lead off and JD hits a ball 112 MPH or so right to Moose.

In 2011, even after we won the Cup for first time since '72 Orr's goal we had been in the finals a few times and couldn't close.

After 2011, we got beat in Finals by CHI and then another season we had that brutal comeback by PHI when we were up in Series 3-0.

Stanley Cup is f***ing hard to win. We went to Gm 7 vs Habs 2011 and eeked that series out thanks to Nathan Horton.

Razors edge man.

I hate basketball but officially on Raptor's bandwagon.

You eke something out, eeking out is being a bitch about seeing a mouse.

Gee thanks for the spelling tips. Now f*** off.
