John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 Taylor Hall just laid Philip Larsen the f*** out.. If they had kept rolling that video, you'd see him laying there unconscious while skates keep running into his head as the pile up happens.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 Beauty hit Yup. I don't see why the commenters are saying it was dirty. He hit him with his forearm and larsen's head then rolled forward and smoked into Hall's shoulder pad, which likely did all the damage.

People have been made so sensitive to any physical contact that they look to find issue with every hit. It's annoying. That was a very solid hit. Dude had his head down like a clown and Hall could've removed his head if he wanted, but he completely avoided contact with the head.

So no Crouse/Chychrun (ARI), Beauvillier (NYI), Marner (TOR), Konecny (PHI). All these guys eligible and Nolan Patrick who is injured.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 Leafs suspended Garret Sparks for his comments on a facebook group defending a disabled person, all while insulting 13 year old girls http://www.tsn.ca/sparks-suspended-indefinitely-by-maple-leafs-1.617534 TORONTO – Toronto Marlies’ goaltender Garret Sparks has been suspended indefinitely by the Toronto Maple Leafs for violating team policy after directing violent and sexist language toward a user in an online group. Sparks did not dress for the Marlies on Friday or Saturday. “[Garret] was sent home for some team policy reasons when we were on the road trip there [in New York],” Keefe said after Saturday’s 4-1 win over the Utica Comets. “I’m familiar with the circumstances, but we’re not going to comment any further from there. Management handled the situation.” The Maple Leafs released a statement saying they were aware of the incident and that it had been addressed directly with Sparks. The suspension stems from an incident that came to light on November 22. According to users in a Facebook goalie group for which Sparks is an administrator, members of the forum were mocking a disabled person and Sparks came to that person’s defence by asking one of those in the forum where he lived and writing, “I want to go to open hockey with you, drag you out to center ice and beat you into a [expletive] pulp until you can’t run that [expletive] little mouth of yours. God, you sound like a 13-year-old girl.” When another member reprimanded Sparks for insulting women, he apologized and continued, “Girls don’t even whine as much as this guy does.” Keefe said there is no timetable for the goalie’s return. His status will be reevaluated by the team in the next week. Sparks could not be reached for comment. The 23-year old native of Elmhurst, Illinois played 17 games for the Maple Leafs last season, posting a 6-9-1 record, 3.02 goals-against average and .893 save percentage. Slowed by an injury this season, Sparks has seen limited action, going 3-1-0 with a 2.02 goals-against average and .918 save percentage. That's sexist? Lmfao

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 Very fun game! Both goalies were great today It 'twas... every Leaf shooter in the shootout hit iron, can't get closer than that. Smith was outstanding, the difference in the game. Although Anderson did stop 3 breakaways, yeah, they played well.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Great game by the Leafs. Marner is sick.
