Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 I think it looks great. Agreed. I was nervous but I'm quite pleased.
Zaun of the Dead Verified Member Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 it does look pretty sick. the sweaters they hinted at look a bit more purple-ish. I dig the new look.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 The new/old logo looks outstanding.

Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 She is a race to last place for Jets and Leafs we will be in better shape to get that first over all pick once we trade Buff and Ladd lol

Scary times
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 and we better get a good return if we deal them.
BTS Community Moderator Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Wow, I didn't realize how disastrous the Jets have been since returning. Five seasons, one playoff series, and they were swept in that series.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Its really only been a disaster this year. They were building before that, so you expect to be s***. There was some real optimism this year after making the playoffs last year and having some nice young talent up and coming (Ehlers, Petan, continued development of Scheifele and Trouba). But its just been a s***** s***** year.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 You'd think in 2016 they'd be able to f***ing spell "leaves" correctly.

Five seasons, one playoff series, and they were swept in that series. Ya they were mediocrity 4 points or so out of the playoffs the first few seasons and i said if they don't do something in terms of rebuilding or adding they were going to crash hard and the time has come. Should have traded Buff before the season but they were delusional about being competitive. They need to get rid of some of the rubbish that came over from ATL and Build a team around Trouba Scheiff, Ehlers and possibly Lowry (unsure of him yet).

Lowrys a nice piece to have but probably not one to build around. Build around scheif, ehlers, trouba, hellebuyck, next year Kyle Connor and hopefully a nice player with that possible top 5 pick.

BTS Community Moderator Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 The Thrashers/Jets as a whole have yet to win a single playoff game. That's astounding. That's insane, over almost 20 years. The Thrashers/Jets franchise might be one of the worst in NA pro sports history.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 I think the Jets are pretty well off as a franchise. The Division they are in is a terror and it sure hasn't helped them. I think they have one of the brighter futures of any team though.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 If i am the jets i am moving Buff out and making a big push to bring Travis Hamonic in. And if you could keep Trouba and Meyers out of that deal that would give you a solid back end (Trouba, Meyers, Hamonic, Enstrom, Morrisey (eventually), Stew or Chiarot.
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 What's the big appeal of Hamonic? I don't get it. 20 games for Wideman seems like a bit too much. I thought closer to 10.

I call him the anti Buff.... Not going to pinch or throw up a lot of points for you but is probably one of the better young defensive d-man (it makes sense in my head) in the league. He wants out of NY to be closer to home for some reason. I figured they would throw the book at him. my guess was around 15
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Good god, that video of Price skating today is disheartening. What could be taking this long that shouldn't have him under the knife?

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 hadn't watched hockey for quite a while... decided to watch the game tonight. yuck! Tank Nation is alive and well.
King Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Jets extend Buff for 5 more years. $8 mil the first 4 and $6mil the last year
King Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Why His contract was up at the end of the season. It was either contract extension or trade.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Well expect a lot of mediocrity from the jets for the next few years. They needed to rebuild this team instead they think they can patch it and well ask the Leafs fans how that works out

They needed to rebuild this team instead they think they can patch it and well ask the Leafs fans how that works out I think the Jets rebuild is far enough along they need to keep productive players. They have the young talent they need (especially when they get another high pick this year), just need it to develop what they've got.
