I don't think I've ever been more out of touch hockey-wise. My parents, not huge fans by any stretch, were talking about how there's another good player now and he's with Edmonton. My wife knew about him too. I had no idea what they were talking about.

If you don't know who Connor McDavid is, you're pretty out of touch :)

His speed is on another level from pretty much anyone else in the league right now. The fact that he also can maneuver very well at that speed is something that is very hard to defend against.

Awe yeah! Avalanche traded Elliott for Gormley!!! Great trade. Worst case, nothing happens and he is out of the league but Elliott was already at that point.

They can be traded for more picks, a good strategy for a rebuilding team.
