This seems like a pretty garbage return. Stafford? Ew. Lemieux isn't worth much at all. Myers = meh.

But then again, Kane is a pretty notable ********.

huge trade if true. Buffalo is going to be really good in a few years.

Holy f***!

I like this trade for the jets considering the position they were in.

But can you imagine Kane with McDavid/Eichel?

Kane is a legit top forward.

That really defends on where you draw the line for "top".

Hard for me to understand that trade for Winnipeg. Bogosian and Kane look like the two best assets in the entire deal....

This is a great deal for both teams.

I like the jets return better. Makes them a better team this year and very good additions to their future.

Well they kind of had to trade him with the hole they dug themselves into with the player. It was obvious he was going to have to be traded. As for Kane I think he's a top 6 Fwd on any team in the league and right now would be Buffalo's best forward but that isn't saying much.

People have to remember Kane is only 23 and he scored 30 goals as a 20 year old which is incredibly difficult to do. He's been injured a lot but he is one of the more talented forwards in the NHL.

Have Kane worth $5.3M, so essentially 0 value asset.

Bogosian as $2.5M, so negative $2.5M essentially.

Myers at $-0.8M, so negative $6M essentially.

Stafford at $2.5M, so negative $1.5M.

Not sure how much value the first has but probably enough to balance this out + the spects.

Cap hit doesn't really mean much for Buffalo right now. Since they are under the cap Kane making 3 million instead of 5 doesn't really mean much for them. They get one of the more talented players who is only 23 and still has potential to be better.
