burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Battle of Ontario on Wednesday should be renamed to the battle of 2 awful hockey teams. Both teams have been nothing short of terrible lately.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 https://gfycat.com/DecisiveAgitatedBluebottlejellyfish Holy f***. Toronto Maple Leaves fans are so colossally stupid. I bet that moron wisheshe hadn't done that. Living as a sports fan in Toronto is so embarrassing.

Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 If any of you are looking to jump ship its a good time to be a Jets fan right now.... The team is playing great and winning, plus we got some great young kids coming (Ehlers, Petan, Morrisey) one should catch. Everyone is welcome lol.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 lol 3 Canadian teams make up the top 5 of teams going nowhere. http://thehockeywriters.com/5-nhl-teams-going-nowhere-fast/

Slot Machine Verified Member Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 I think it would be cool if Dion turned into an Ulf Samuelsson type. Since everyone in the league apparently doesn't like him (he's a big meanie isn't he) he might as well roll with it.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 (edited) Sens, wild and oilers get points tonight Now lets go flyers! Edited January 21, 2015 by Dylan
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Hard to cheer for the senators but I hope they win
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Go Leafs Go! or whatever.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 This team can't play this system, making the same mistakes, they're terrible, run and gun or this? I'll take the former.
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 GD, please remind me again about the Leafs super awesome core. Thx.

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Leafs outplayed them in the last 40, that 1st period was atrocious, Sens stink, lol Leafs.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Leafs outplayed them in the last 40, that 1st period was atrocious, Sens stink, lol Leafs. *score effects* Although it was probably a little more than that. Sens also on a b2b.

Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Leafs now currently in 9th worst place. This is happening faster than I thought. Wild and Philly less than 3pts behind too.
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 So how far apart are McDavid and Eichel from the 2nd tier? Is consensus still that there's a massive drop?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted January 22, 2015 Author Posted January 22, 2015 So how far apart are McDavid and Eichel from the 2nd tier? Is consensus still that there's a massive drop? I don't think things fall off at Hanifin, Strome and Barzal.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 So how far apart are McDavid and Eichel from the 2nd tier? Is consensus still that there's a massive drop? I think there's still a big drop but its more Mcdavid/Eichel are so good rather than the other players being worse. Hanifin would probably be in contention for number 1 in past years and strome/barzal/marner are all top 4 talents.

Frag Verified Member Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 This shows why you don't draft Lawson Crouse in the top 10.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 This shows why you don't draft Lawson Crouse in the top 10. Analytics guys on Twitter seem to hate him so much. I mean I don't think he is a top 7 player but hes still a pretty good prospect. Marner seems to be pretty underrated though and I think he could be the steal of the draft.

Exactly, this McEichel stuff is horseshit, McDavid is a generational talent, than there's Eichel, than there's the rest. It's a great draft this year, but McDavid>>>>>>Eichel>>>>the rest.
