It's really disturbing how someone could dedicate that much time to trolling a message board. He has been doing it for the better part of a decade now.

I went to the old board to try and find that thread for a laugh and jesus I almost vomited at the thread titles on there. I didn't dare open any of them. What a complete cesspool that place is now. The sad part to me is that we occasionally used to get intelligent fans of other teams that came over during a series and resulted in some good conversations. Now when they check in there they will think all Jays fans (and Canadians) are complete f***ing morons.

 

If you really wanted to f*** with that place, everyone from here should go there and register new accounts utilizing a distinctive and instantly recognizable common theme in their usernames, such as a 3-digit number at the beginning and end, then before even making a single post, set to ignore every poster not following the naming theme, and then proceed to carry on threads/conversations amongst themselves completely oblivious to the native posters on there.

 

That would be a pretty interesting social experiment if nothing else.

It's not always obvious when a troll like high85 is back. He's good enough at it that can take many many posts before you even start to wonder if it's him. The IP checks are (unfortunately) not the panacea that lot of you guys think it is. (I presumed they were too until I started moderating on here).

 

It's not even about IP checks, his posts have several trademarks. Double dashes, constant use of the word "remember" and blatant Jays homerism to the point of absurdity. Digiblader is still banned (I checked) so he's clearly been deemed an undesirable but here he is again, posting and all of the mods are just ignoring it. Several posters have been pointing it out, too. What's the point of a permaban if it's so easily sidestepped?

 

I know the IP checks aren't foolproof. I shared an IP with Mohyou a little while ago and it was terrifying. It's a good thing I've met a few guys here or I'd probably be considered to be a dogg/zee alias.

Not judging, I love altering my consciousness and do regularly, but alcohol is something I avoid due to it making anyone under it's influence a complete moron. Smoke weed instead, for anyone over the age of 19 or so the benefits outweigh the drawbacks.

 

I smoked weed for first time couple weeks ago since college (maybe like 13 years)..I don't smoke either..so I had to hack down the joint the whole time. Was awful. Then when I finally got really baked..I started getting super paranoid someone was going to call me (for work) that I had to take and they would know I was baked. The paranoia made it worst evening I can remember. Never again

You probably just overdid it, if I go so much as a few weeks without lighting up my tolerance basically resets to zero. I'm lucky in that it doesn't cause me any paranoia without reason, but it will still amplify it if I'm doing something/in a situation where I have reason to be apprehensive. It's not for everyone though, some people's natural brain chemistry doesn't allow them to enjoy it, same as with every other alterative substance.

..also on the other subject of DJKneepads.. I'm still guilty of stereotyping sometimes. I was surprised seeing JFAS that he played ball. Guess it just depends on your own experiences. I didn't have any super smart guys on my HS team

You hit the nail on the head here. I no longer enjoy weed in social situations, it's just unsettling. However, if I'm alone and looking for a buzz it's perfect, whereas consuming alcohol alone is basically just unnecessary impairment.

Sometimes, due to insomnia (why you think I GO to bed so early? Wanna make sure I can get at least 7 hours even if I toss and turn for 2) I have to tire myself out to sleep. In the summer, taking a run outside is actually almost enjoyable for this purpose.

 

I have a cellular telephone. It has data, amazingly. Myself and everyone else, on top of that, were getting paid to surf the internet last week pretty much, I think that already came up a few days ago on here.

Yup I can indulge on the weekend and not physically crave it afterward. To be honest my nose doesn't allow me to get into trouble with that stuff, I'm lucky there. Plus, it's addictive reputation is very overrated, although still not to be taken lightly.

Just try to keep the posting whilst drunk to a minimum, I'm not the first person on here to mention that as a near-daily ritual on your part.
