If you are a fan of the Leafs or Raptors yes, coz bad management ruined chances of winning. Need spend more to fix things, but aren't allowed coz of the salary cap.

Salary cap in NBA allow teams like Oklahoma City, Indiana Pacers, Milwaukee Bucks or Cleveland Cavaliers to win or be finalist. Otherwise will be the Lakers, Mav, Spurs, Knicks and other big market all the time

Even the Yankees, Mets, Rangers, Jays, Cubs and Phillies wont spend half what the Dodgers spend. Remember in the NHL when Colorado, Detroit, NJ, Dallas was the biggest spenders, so every season, we already know who will end up win the Stanley cup. Since NHL have a salary cap,things are different. Same with the NBA and NFL, salary cap make every teams have = chances to win.

To prevent Dodgers have 2 billions payroll, with 5 #1 starters, 6 closers. and all star players in every positions including on the bench.

Atkins only have bag of garbages to trade ( Bieber, Springer, Little, Corbin) So he won't get much for that. I won't be surprised if he wan't keep Hoffman, and try sign Gausman and Varsho, instead of trading them.

I know, but this doesn't prevent Atkins to sign him before he become a free agent. Just offering him similar contract than for Cease. So we can have SP Cease, Peralta, Gausman, Yesevage, Ponce/Miles

If the cost for a Peralta is something like Perry, Stanifer, Tiedemann and Juan Sanchez, Jays should do it. I will also check if Marlins can trade Otto Lopez

For team like the Brewers, Guardians or Rays, they are just happy if can play in playoff and make extra money without the need to spend more cash to improve the team. The teams who really compete for the WS, are the sames we are used, Dodgers, NYK, Cubs, Braves, Red Sox, Phillies, Jays, Mariners, Rangers, Mets and Astros

I can`t believe Yankees, Cubs, Phillies, Mariners, won't have make similar offer Dodgers did, or at least increased the price of Skubal offering better offert to make Dodgers overpaid. It`s why I think Dodgers bribe greedy owners, sending money under the table. The last MLB teams should do, is to help the Dodgers become better, unless they overpaid. But it's no first time they get star players for almost giving nothing in return.

Now this will depend if other teams really want to improve to have a chance to win the WS, or they just let Dodgers play with themselve and wait after the lockout. If some teams want to improve, guys like Gausman, Miller will have similar return than for Skubal

I really wish we will have a lockout in 2027, but I am afraid owners think because this year more teams can have chance to participate in playofs, everyting is fine, and they will just increase the luxury taxes

I won't give Parker 1 vs 1 for Hope, I think Parker will become a better player, but yes, Nimmala can compare to Hope, even If I won't hesitade trade Nimmala for Hope 1 vs 1

Hope isn't a bad prospect, but in minor prior to this year, he wasn't impressive. Also his .AVG no in the .300+ area, so in MLB, he will be a .260 with 20+ HR and 20 SB. The 2 pitchers Dodgers send will be easilly forgotten, so this package shouldn't be enough for Skubal. What make me think Dodgers give money under the table to greedy owners.

The 2 pitchers Dodgers send, 1 his coming from a Tommy Jones surgery like Tiedemann, the 2nd have awfull stats in minor, worse than Stanifer, so maybe Jake Bloss more comparable to the 27 years old Ryan. Even if we give Keys, Tedemann and Bloss, should be far below the values of Skubal

I wonder if Dodgers bribe the gm and owner of teams that give them their best players for crap. The gm of the Tigers, need to be fired asap if it's the best he can get for the best MLB starter. So what next, Mason Miller to Dodgers for Lauer and below average prospects?

Should trade guys that will be free agents next year ( Springer, Bieber, Jesus, and do a retool of the lineup, no just for this year but long term. If really Atkins can get Soto for Vlad, he should do it. Can use Okamoto at 1B, and send back Clement at 3B, so will need a 2B like Gleyber Torres. Let's say we add Peralta, the team will look far more better than now.

Pirates know Skenes doesn't want stay with them, so to get Yesevage who cost peanut and MLB ready, and few top 10 Jays prospects for him, it's no a bad trade for both teams. -
