    No need to trade him, unless he's part of a package to get a good reliever. The one Atkins should trade is Berrios. But return won't be great, will be less than what we get for Kiuchi. On other hands, if Berrios and Lauer bring bad attitude at spring training camp, complaining because they want guaranteed spot as SP , we absolutely need get ride of them.

    Again, I was right. I wrote few months ago, we shouldn't have too much expectations about Garcia, Santander and Bieber , coz they will spend most of the season on injuries list. Was mandatory to find a top reliever to replace Garcia, and someone who can bring a lot of offensive to replace Bichette and Santander. Ofc Atkins didn't do that, and instead just patched with utilities players.

    If we want to win a WS, we need far better OF than Schneider, Lukes, Loperfido, Jimenez. So far we didn't replaced Bo bat. To be fair, we have big holes in our offensive, especialy at third and fourth ranks batting lineup. Barger, Kirk, Varsho, Clement, Gimenez, Lukes, are no suited for such roles, and we have no idea if Okamoto will be good or not.

    If he was really interested to sign here, he will be here. If Atkins was really all in on him like he was on Ohtani and Soto, he will have offered him simillar offers Dodgers and Mets did. This make me believe the front office wanted part away with Bichette from beginning, and to make this easier for fans to agree, they showed interest in Tucker, but at affordable price. When Tucker agreed in term with the Dodgers, Mets was quickly signed Bo after, coz they needed a good bat to replace Alonso. So the mistakes Jays did, wasn't signing Bregman, and have too much faith in Hamtander to bounce back to his 2022-2024 lvl

    Hopefully we can make a trade for someone like Kwan without sending King, Parker or Sanchez in return. I am ok if we send NImmala, Loperfido, Stanifer or Tidermann

    I am no surprised at all. I wrote in december that Santander won't be able to play LF and he will be useless. The same about Bieber, he will miss a lot of games , and the only reason he's back, is that no one will have paid 16 millions for him. So Atkins needed sign Valdez or Gallen, and Bo or get a very good OF. Schneider/Lukes are perfect LF duo for a team like Pirates or Cards, but no for a team who want to win the WS.

    To sign Valdez is now mandatory for the Jays, because if they didn't, Orioles or another big American MLB team will do. And we shouldn't take for granted Bieber, Pounce, will do the job as expected. Also, when we will lose Gausmann and Bieber to free agency next year, will be difficult to find someone as good than Valdez without overpaid. Knowing we can start 2027 with Cease, Yesavage, Valdez, it's more comfortable than be in panic mood and overpaid for SP that aren't great. Maybe Skubal will be avalaible, but even at 10/600m chances he sign here are less than 0%

    Good news he re signed with the Angels. Because we need someone who can do .280+ AVG, 20+ HR, 80+ RBI

    I wont be surprised if Mets make another trade for a 3B, so Bichette can be used DH or 2B. Btw Peralta didn't cost too much, its like if Jays will have giving Nimmala and Stanifer.

    Okamato he replace France or Barger if they trade him. To replace Bo, need to be a star player, no utillity player or someone who never played in MLB before.

    In fact we need another star player, like Tatis Jr, De la Cruz caliber.

    You can't replace Bo offense with Schneider, Straw, Lukes, and Santander doesn't count because he was here last year, and he wasn't signed to replace Bichette. Okamoto he replace guys like France, IKF, no to be our best hitter after Guerrero.

    Yes, but signing Framber Valdez at discounted price, should be see like a market opportunity for the Jays, especialy that next year, Gausman, Bieber, Berrios will leave in FA, and that our chance to sign Skubal or Peralta are less than 1 %. Also, Bieber he's far to be healthy and Berrios need to go. If we make a trade, will be to find improvement in LF or RF or at SS or 2B. The best option at 3B remain Clement/Okamoto, in OF, unless trading for someone like Tatis Jr, this won't worth trading assets like King, Parker for guys like Kwan, Nootbaar. But for De la Cruz no problem empty the farm and more, because we will get a star player.

    Now it's time for Atkins to trade for Donovan and sign Valdez, since their rivals get their men.

    We can also enter in Peralta derby, but this will cost too much prospects and assets, and between empty the farm for Peralta or get Valdez in free agency, the choice is easy to make.

    I am no sold on Santander ``come back of the year`` because he's injury prone, and 44 HR is an anomaly for him, 25 HR will be more realistic if he stay fully healthy. So we will saw few other guys in LF (Straw, Okamoto, Schneider) but unless Barger struggle, Bellinger won't be a big upgrade in RF. The best way to improve lineup will be to trade for a good 2B or LF if Santander still no 100% healthy. Atkins can also sign Framber Valdez, even if we still have Bieber, anyway Shane will end up on injury list and he only agreed return coz he was injured. With Gausman, Cease, Valdez, Yesevage, Pounce, we will have the best SP group in American league. Add Donovan , make few trades to reduce payroll, then roster will be greatly improved.

    He proved that money more important for him. He should have choose Phillies, and play 2B, instead to play 3B and be worst defensively than when he was playing SS
