    It's no the fault of JS if Atkins give him only crap left handed relievers. He like to use left handed reliever very often, so give him one or two good left handed relievers, and things will be different. The same about giving him 2 more good hitters. The one who need to be throw under the bus wheels it's Atkins, no JS

    You mean in 2028? The real question is: Which players in the actual roster you think should be here for building a team who can return in the WS? Honestly, they aren't many, beside Cease, Varland, Clement, Yesevage, Vlad (fixed) and maybe Rogers. All other's can easily be replaced or you can find better players to be in the starting lineup.

    Let`s say that if Vlad wasn`t signed after the WS, and tested free agency, he will have get more money than Tucker. Something between Soto and Tucker average salary, that Mets will have gladly give him.

    Vlad annualy salary is around 35 millions. But Bo and Tucker are respectively 55 and 60, the value of 2 star players like Yordan Alvarez + Fernando Tatis Jr. So having Vlad salary on the payroll, doesn`t prevent Atkins add a player like Tatis Jr, Marte or Alvarez, but Bo and Tucker yes

    Shouldn`t forgot Lindor, so Vlad is no the worst contract yet, but if he can`t bounce back in 2028, yes he will be the worst contract in the MLB

    They are spending badly. Gimenez, Straw, Springer, Garcia, Scherzer, Santander, Hoffman, are big waste of money. Can easily have a closer, a good left-hand reliever, a top 2 starting pitcher, and a star player for that money wasted.

    Little need to be DFA after the game. He always give runs everytime he play. Hopefuly Springer starting to hit more often , so maybe a team can be interested get him.

    It's no Atkins, because if this was Atkins, he won't have wait to last second to sign him. The front office seemed to have give up about Vlad and Bichette, but Rogers wanted to sell more tickets, especially after all the investment $$$ he made to improve the stadium. And it's no Gimenez or Hoffman who will have help sell more tickets😂So after plan A and B failed miserably( Ohtani, Soto ) Atkins didn't had the choice to save his job, to overpaid for Guerrero.

    Yes you right, but I still hope he can fix himself in 2028. Will need a new coaching staff for sure, also he need to lose some weights again, and add more muscle ( He can ask Barger how to do ). He seem to play injured, it's no first time he have back pain, and it's probably due to his bad shape and the way he play in defense.

    Yes, but to fix things will be easy, coz you have many bad contracts that end this year, and if Atkins do a good job at the trade deadline, he can bring a good starter like Peralta, a good reliever, and 1-2 very good bat.

    Clase, Pinango was hitting like superstar when Jays call up them from Buffalo, but it's only ephemeral, coz soon or later they go back to normal. Only Valenzuela show some regularity in his play.

    Honestly they should part away with Straw, Varsho, coz both will want a pay raise, and will never improve, so will be a mistake to sign them long term. Kwan don't have a good season, and Indian will at 99.99% ask for someone like Perry, King or Parker to be included in the trade, and for Kwan, this will be overpaid. Instead better try get Jackson Merrill, he's young, so to trade few of our best prospects for him, won't hurt as if we trade for someone like Buxton or Kwan. Atkins need think about 2028, so to make trade for thirty something guys, won't make sense.

    Will be like Schneider at 2B instead of Clement/Gimenez or Jesus instead of Straw. Unfortunately we don't have a better CF than Varsho. So if we want a reliable CF that have good defensive and offensive skills, will need to make a trade. If Atkins sign Varsho, should be similar contract than Kirk. Anything close to Springer salary, will be a big no.

    I didn't watched the game, but this was a good opportunity to see if John Schneider a good manager, or if he do the same mistakes he do with the Jays, even with a all star lineup

    Horny wet John Schneider dream to fix Hoffman, and use him again to be the closer. So he can use Varland in the six innings again😄

    The only players Jays should keep are Okamoto, Clement, Kirk, Valenzuela, Miles and Varland. Ofc you have the junks who should absolutely be traded : Springer, Garcia, Hoffman, Bieber, Corbin, Scherzer, then the players other teams can be interested like Jesus, Straw, Urias, Fluharty, Fisher, Gimenez, Varsho, Schneider, Vlad. And the one other teams will definitely want like Gausman, Rogers and Lukes. PS: I didn't say to trade them all, except those in the junks list:lol

    Maybe a trade with the Twins, Yesevage + Varsho + prospects other than King, Sanchez and Parker for Joe Ryan and Buxton
