  1. Bullpen for Taillon. Scherzer and Yesevage rarelly throw for more than 6 innings, and now Hoffman traded, we will need more help in the bullpen. Same thing about Justin, he was lucky yesterday, but next for him will be bullpen too when Arrighetti will be ready
  2. I will have liked if Jays will have make a trade for Gleyber Torres, so this will have boosted their chance to make playoff. Outfield with Straw, Springer and Lukes, Vlad DH, Okamoto 1B, Gleyber 2B, Clement 3B, Gimenez SS, and Kirk C
  3. Detmers will have cost more than Nimmala, coz the Cubs offered their #2, #13 and #18 prospects, so Atkins wouild have needed to add Tiedemann and Arias. By the way Cubs changed their mind, and traded Rojas for Holmes instead. They didn't liked the medicals info, so it's why trade didn't happened.
  4. Nothing prevent them to be back at free agency
  5. Little will be perfect to blow more games, so Jays will have better draft rank.
  6. Manoah before he was injured, he was pretty good
  7. Hope Atkins remind these teams, he have 2 SP available, Scherzer and Bieber to drade.
  8. He will feel at home with the Jays😅
  9. King+Juan Sanches?
  10. Time to try get Gunnar if Orioles do a fire sales
  11. This trade remind me when they acquired Jose Berrios few years ago.
  12. It Jays needed more a CF than a catcher. Now if they trade Varsho the return should be good, and Atkins need find a better CF than Lukes or Straw.
  13. Atkins will probably try sign Varsho, because he traded Gabriel Moreno for him, but to give a qualifying offer to Bieber seem to be a big mistake, he's often injured and no sure a team will want pay 16 millions for him. I don't mind if we keep Varsho, as long salary will be max 4/80millions. The problem is that if the goal is to win a WS next year or in 2028, the roster need to be strongly improved. We don't have reliable OF in the starting lineup, except maybe Varsho if he stay. Guerrero, Okamoto, Clement, Kirk are ok in the IF, but Gimenez need to be replaced by a better player. Santander can't be a reliable solution for DH, he's made of glass, didn't played for 2 years and always injured. Cease, Yesevage, Ponce, still lack #2 and #3 SP, and if we trade Hoffman, will need a good reliever and a good left handed, coz Macko, Little are no the solution. So, unless Atkins think he can fix all the holes with free agency and empty the farm for guys still on utc, which will be a bad move, better to do a reset and rebuild, keeping our best prospects.
  14. Let's say Atkins is able to trade Varsho, Bieber and Hoffman tomorrow for prospects, do this mean for 2027 ,Jays will be under the luxury taxes, so they won't lose 10 rank in their first pick selection? And between the below average prospects without power they get, international money or make a qualifying offer to Gausman and Varsho, what is best? I will have prefered lot of international money, so they can sign one of the best international prospect available.
  15. It's next year they will sign Angel Montas? With him, Parker and Nimmala, they probably have 3 players who eventually be in the starting lineup. Yesevage, Tiedemann, King, Perry and Carlon are young pitchers, few like Yesevage can become MLB lvl
  16. If they are buying, they should without giving their best prospects. Unless if buying guys like De la Cruz, Abrams
  17. Yes they are drafting their players, like many teams, the difference Dodgers can pay them the high salary, but with a salary cap, they can't keep them all, so will be like 95% of MLB teams.
  18. Better get international money than prospects like McAdoo, Clase
  19. Btw, do the trade for Kawi canceled or still waiting what will happen to Clippers?
  20. It's no the cap who is a mess, but the things about players who can sign a max contract, and other who aren't allowed.
  21. NHL cap is no too low, before Briere make offer sheet to Leo Carlsson, teams like San Jose, Hawks and Anaheim had lot of space on the cap. But team like Oilers, Leaf who was badly managed, no, coz they do many mistakes. Imagine if salary cap was higher, Panthers and Vegas will be like the Dodgers
